    Yes.

Sorry I didn’t even read the post I just answered the question in the thread title. Yes. All of them are.

None of them is an Andy Luck type prospect.

Andrew Luck wasn’t an Andrew Luck type prospect. How did Andrew Luck’s team finish this season? How about last season? How about 2015? Two 8-8 finishes and a 4-12 season this year. Better than we’ve had in Cleveland? Sure. But how about compared to other “not Andrew Luck type prospects like” Derek Carr, Jimmy Garopolo, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott? That doesn’t even include pre-Luck “not Andrew Luck types” like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, etc. My point is this, you don’t have to be an “Andrew Luck type prospect” to be better than Deshone Kizer, and being an “Andrew Luck type prospect” doesn’t guarantee that you’re going to be an elite QB in the NFL (Luck isn’t).

Even if a Luck type talent is available, you have to be willing to tank the season to get him. How much does that win over Indy in 2011 mean to you right now? If he’s your guy, you Suck for Luck. None of this “moral victory” bullshit and going 0-16 hoping you get the number 1 pick on strength of schedule…

Deshone Kizer didn’t win a single game for us this season. Additionally, when the game was on the line, he made bad decisions that COST us games (see Green Bay). He’s a terrible game manager. A Dilfer type would have gotten us at least 1 win this season. McCown would have been good for 5 wins this season.

Could Kizer be better than any QB in this draft? It’s possible. It’s also possible Soup could eat some wheatgrass and change his DNA to become the Incredible Hulk. Kizer wasn’t better than the current crop of QBs in college, and there’s no reason to believe he will be in the NFL.

I’ve never quite understood that phrase. The “Andrew Luck” phenomenon.

Is Luck good? Yes, yes he is. But wold I consider him to be elite, best of the best, some transcendent talent all QB’s coming out of college should be compared to and aspire to be?

Um, no. He’s got a career completion % below 60. He seems to get hurt quite a bit. How many superbowl wins/appearances does he have? Yes, I’d take Luck on the Browns in a heartbeat and he’s a great player, but I don’t get the fascination with him as if he’s the litmus test of all other QB’s

He’s not the litmus test for QBs, which is why nobody says “an Andrew Luck type player.” They use the phrase “Andrew Luck type Prospect,” and honestly it could just as easily be a “Myles Garrett type prospect.”

It’s a guy that you know in November, he’s gonna be the #1 pick. Never a doubt. The combine confirms it. Wonderlic off the charts. Aces every interview. The GM with the #1 pick is scouting the second round because he doesn’t have to waste effort on a decision at 1. He goes to sleep with a picture of Andrew Luck tucked under his pillow. He daydreams in meetings and covers his notebooks with “Me + Luck Forever.” He calls Luck 5 times a day just to hear his voice and make sure he’s doing ok. He turns every conversation into a discussion of how great Andrew Luck is.

THAT is an “Andrew Luck type prospect.” And no, there is not one in this draft.

Except if you were to redraft that year Russell Wilson would go ahead of Luck.

    Freedom!!!
