Per league sources the Browns are very interested in FA CB E.J. Gaines a 2014 6th round pick by the Rams. Also Browns have interest in FA WR Allen Hurns A 2014 UFA by the jaguars.
March 23, 2018 at 8:56 am #11787ShooterModeratorHurns is interesting. Very solid player. If we sign him we’re going from probably the worst group of receivers in the league to probably one of the best. Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry are already a scary duo, adding Hurns makes them even more dangerous. If there’s any chance that Corey Coleman could get through a season without a freak injury and showed the potential he was drafted for, the Browns could be lethal through the air. Especially with a competent QB in Taylor running it all.

Agreed. Definitely like the idea of adding Hurns, especially when rumor has it he’s down to us and baltiwhore. I’m still peeved at the Bush league shenanigans they pulled with Ryan Grant. That was a terrible signing and they weasled out of it to get Crabtree.

If we have Gordon 1, Hurns 2, Landry 3 there’s a shot the awful, terrible, never should’ve been drafted weak bodied bust Coleman doesn’t make the team.

Oh good god here we go again. Okay #1, there’s no chance Coleman doesn’t make the team. While he has greatly under performed and has been a huge disappointment, he’s way too young has and had way too much bad luck with freak injuries to give up on soon. He’s still under his rookie deal for crying out loud. His role on the team would be heavily impacted, and he may very well find himself riding the bench and will absolutely be fighting for playing time in a position battle, but he’s going to make the roster.
#2 Did you seriously just list Jarvis Landry as #3 on the depth chart hypothetically behind Hurns?
Jarvis Landry, the guy who led the league in receptions last year and has set an NFL for most receptions by a player in his 1st four years in the league, 3x Pro-Bowler and clear #1 in Miami is going to be listed on the depth chart behind undrafted, role-player Allen Hurns?
Did you just say that and actually mean it? What kind of neuro-toxic gas leaked into your shitshck of a house overnight to make your brain think such a ridiculous statement? Landry is going to be pushing Josh Gordon for the team lead in every receiving category, and you’re going to say that he’ll be behind Hurns on the depth chart?
I will make any bet with you that you want that gives me even the remote chance of saddling you with that sigline for another year, because as usual, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
March 23, 2018 at 11:53 am #11800soupParticipantIn case you weren’t aware, the #3 receiver is the slot receiver. Jarvis Landry was Miami’s #3 receiver, aka slot receiver. So yeah, I expect him to be a slot receiver here.
I don’t care what round Coleman was picked in and neither does Dorsey. Why do you think we are going after WR? It’s certainly not because he believes Coleman is some huge talent that must make the team. Chances are he stays, but there’s also a chance he’s cut.

Chances are he stays, but there’s also a chance he’s cut.The problem with that is we would need other WRs that are better than Coleman. Assuming we keep 5-6 WRs, here are the current ones we have on the roster:
88 Board, C.J. WR 6-0 181 24 1 Tennessee-Chattanooga
19 Coleman, Corey WR 5-11 185 23 3 Baylor
12 Gordon, Josh WR 6-3 225 26 3 Baylor
83 Hazel, Matt WR 6-1 195 26 3 Coastal Carolina
81 Higgins, Rashard WR 6-1 198 23 3 Colorado State
84 Howard, Bug WR 6-4 210 23 1 North Carolina
80 Landry, Jarvis WR 5-11 196 25 5 LSU
15 Louis, Ricardo WR 6-2 215 24 3 Auburn
Pinkard, Larry WR 6-0 196 26 1 Old Dominion
82 Williams, Kasen WR 6-1 219 25 2 WashingtonObviously Gordon, Landry, and the hypothetical Hurns are 3 you would keep ahead of Coleman. Who are the other 2? I don’t even see 1.
March 23, 2018 at 12:14 pm #11804Dawg E. DawgParticipantI’d even spot you a draft pick as a guy, but not 2 draft picks.
March 23, 2018 at 12:57 pm #11807IceKeymasterI wouldn’t be surprised if Coleman was traded for yet another bag of used footballs. Maybe to the Patriots. Do they even have any more used footballs to give us?

Yes, but they don’t hold air.
March 23, 2018 at 1:05 pm #11811soupParticipantI didn’t say he’d definitely be cut, I said there’s a chance it’ll happen. Point being, @shooter mentioning coleman as a weapon is baseless. He’s yet to show anything of the sort.

Don’t use logic, he hates that.
Point being, @shooter mentioning coleman as a weapon is baseless.
Don’t put words in my mouth I said nothing of the sort. I said he was a disappointment that would be fighting for playing time. How you translated that into being a weapon is a product of your own fuckery, don’t blame me for that shit.
March 24, 2018 at 9:52 am #11826the dudeParticipantWho’s picked up their Hollywood Higgins jersey for the year?
Hue Jackson is a loser.
March 24, 2018 at 1:19 pm #11831BillWunkleParticipantBrowns signed EJ Gaines yesterday and Allen Hurns signed with Dallas.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!
