Odell Beckham Jr informed the Giants he will not play unles he has a new contract. The Giants owner today said that nobody is immune from being traded.

John Dorsey was in New York for a meeting/lunch with Giants GM Dave Gettleman.

There is a strong possibility of the Browns and the Giants working out a deal involving OBJ and the #4 pick in the draft.

Coincidentally, this changes absolutely everything if it goes down.

If we trade number four for a headcase like that it would be moronic.

I’m inclined to agree with you, but it doesn’t change the fact that a team with Josh Gordon OBJ and Jarvis Landry running routes would torch any team in its path, and I don’t care who is throwing the ball. You could put Kizer back in there and……..okay okay I lost myself for a second there. But you get my point. That would be level 11 lethality for any secondary.

But I agree. Beckham, while enthralling in the talent column, is a spoiled, arrogant ass that thinks he is above the game, wants to be the highest paid player in it, and is a constant distraction both on the field and off.

That is a drool-endorsing thought. What would you give up for him? Would you take OBJ and the 2nd overall pick for the 1st overall pick?

@Shooter you should ask your ‘sources’ what John Dorsey thinks.

Hypothetical…would you swap #1 for #5 if they threw him in? Remember, he doesn’t play without a new contract, no matter the team.

I would worry about OBJ issues and Josh’s becoming a toxic miss off the field.

I’m confused, what’s #5? The giants have #2, the Broncos have #5, what am I missing here?

Now, #1 for #2+OBJ?? Absolutely, he’s annoying and entitled as shot, but he’s one hell of a receiver. Darnold and Rosen aren’t far apart. That’s a non issue to me.

Now, I’d also add that I think there is a 0.5% chance that OBJ comes here, because he’s likely refuse to sign a long term deal to play in Cleveland, and that would be required for any trade.

Keep in mind that Jarvis Landry and OBJ were teammates at LSU, and Landry is already recruiting OBJ on twitter.

    Just sayin’.

Did I not tell you that Dorsey was in New York having lunch with Gettleman?

Gah, you’re right man. See, this is what happens after busting your ass all day at work and then posting in forums.

Less posting, more liquor. New rule.

Hard work has the same effects on the body as alcohol, without all the fun.

Conditional on his signing a 4 year deal, would you move down one spot?

I’m not sure I would. He’s coming off a rough injury (that we inflicted). I’m less concerned with his on the field behavior because I think if you put him, Gordon, and Landry on the field at the same time they would get ultra competitive with each other (in a good way). I think the off-field stuff wouldn’t be as much of a problem in Cleveland as it was in NY. I’m kinda convincing myself that it’s not a bad idea here.

Also, our WR coach was his WR coach at LSU and in New York in 2016 when he went absolutely bananas.

I’m kinda convincing myself that it’s not a bad idea here.

    Let Mary K help you.

That’s a horrible rule. I consistently do equal parts of both (in varying degrees of volume) and continue to be a productive and successful member of this forum. Get hammered and write.

Cocaine video. Head case. Again, we need way more than to just take that on to move down one space. I’m even thinking this year’s 2nd round along with next year’s 1st and of course the 2nd overall pick

    Cocaine video.

Which makes him the perfect guy to pair with Gordon because as we all know cocaine and weed cancel each other out.

Giants have asked for at least two first-round picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr., a league source tells ESPN, even though team insists it is not shopping him.

Doesn’t mean they get it, or close to it, or even trade OBJ. But they have asked for at least two first-round picks.

Lol the Giants have exactly ZERO leverage. I’d trade him for Cody Kessler.
