They can’t even decide what a catch is. no way do they figure out that water is wet.

It’s only wet if it completes the process of falling to the ground. Otherwise it’s just mist or fog, but it’s most certainly not wet.

I don’t really like tooting my own horn much (admitted lie), but I feel that my awarding of a gameball to the ref is now totally warranted.

    For those that missed it:

“My gameball goes to Ed Hochuli’s kid. He’s taking right after his father in making ridiculous calls, my favorite of which being when he flat-out admitted that the there was a helmet to helmet hit on Baker Mayfield but that it was a legal hit, completely disregarding the fact that every helmet to helmet hit is illegal. It was a veteran-like Jedi mind trick for the first year referee, and it impressed the fuck outta me that he was able to completely screw us over without making it an issue by subtly acknowledging the truth and then ignoring it and quickly moving on. Savvy!”

I’m getting really, really tired of this shit. How much is one team supposed to just be blatantly screwed over week after week? Then have to listen to the NFL admit afterwards that “yeah, sorry guys, you really did get screwed”. No shit NFL, we already fucking know. Eat a bag of dicks.

At least that didn’t screw us like the Raiders calls did and the Steeelrs call did. They stole 2 wins from us in those games. We got to the 1 on that drive and stopped on downs

You totally nailed how the NFL would go about this issue.

Or the ravens game where they let Landry get tackled? Or on and on.

I’m with you guys, I don’t know how much more I can take of just getting screwed by the refs every week. When you blantanly ignore 2 of the worst false starts I’ve ever seen, with a guy on the line, and ignore Marshawn Lynch drop kicking the football right in the refs face, what more can you do to prove you’re rigging the game?

Also, quick question, does anybody know why they didn’t review the catch at the end of the game on Sunday? Hue tried to challenge, but couldn’t because reviews had to come from the booth, so they charged the Browns a time out. That’s all good, but to my knowledge they never reviewed it then. Was it obviously a catch? From the tv shot, I couldn’t see how close he was because there were a bunch of people on the sidelines blocking the view.

The quality of referees has taken a huge plunge this year. A lot of refs have retired, maybe that’s something to do with it. It’s gone both ways and certainly we’ve seen it everywhere in the league but the Browns have been more victimized than our opponents for sure.

Even the Bucs coach came out and said it was clearly a penalty.

There are also reports that refs threw a flag on Baker for taunting after the play. After the clearly illegal hit Baker bounced back up got in the face of the defender and said “You’re gonna have to hit me a lot harder than that to take me out!”. Clearly taunting. I’m surprised he wasn’t ejected from the game. Sigh.

The Browns play better when behind. They just need the mentality that the refs have them down 14-0 before kick off and come out and play like it. When the refs give them their 14 points in game then it won’t matter.
