    THE UNFORTUNATE TRUTH: PART TWO

Some of you may have asked the question within yourselves, “Why did Bill Wunkle decide to make his previous article a part one?” or “What could he possibly have to say about the Browns in a part two?” Well, the answer is quite simple. The National Football League is a sports entertainment conglomerate that specializes in making money. And while much of the local dollars go back into the communities where teams are located in terms of taxes on player salaries, restaurant business expenditures and other things that help boost local economies; it’s still just entertainment.

The unfortunate truth is that there are far more serious issues that our local communities in Ohio and across the country face on a daily basis than the apparent well-being or demise of any of our local professional sports franchises. The unfortunate truth is that one of these issues is a poor public educational system that; instead of teaching our youth how to develop their ability to think and reason for themselves by the use of logic and evidence, indoctrinates our youth from early on in the ways of leftist liberalism – which basically attempts to victimize every faction of society . . . with the lone exception of white males. And thus, your opinion and value as a person – depending to your level of victimhood – has either more or less validity than the person beside you, as opposed to how factually based your opinion really is. It is the followers of leftist liberalism who rally in masses to disturb, interrupt and even violently confront in an attempt to shut down any and all public speaking events hosted by any organization whose opinions may differ from theirs, all in the name of freedom of expression.

The unfortunate truth is that it was the Republican Party that was founded on March 20, 1854 by disenfranchised members of the WHIG Party for the sole purpose of abolishing slavery in the United States. In 1856 the first Republican presidential candidate was John C. Fremont – otherwise know as The Pathfinder – ran against WHIG Party candidate Millard Fillmore and Democratic party candidate James Buchanan.

Democrats as a whole and Southern slave owners in particular went into full panic mode to keep Fremont from winning the election by saying “If a Republican wins the presidential election, then slavery in America is finished”. As history will confirm, Buchanan won the 1856 electoral vote by a count of 174-114 over Fremont; which gave the Democratic party the dubious distinction of having the three worst presidents in American history . . . James Buchanan, James Earl Carter Jr. and Barack H. Obama (AKA Barry Soetoro). I’ll let you decide the order of ineptitude for yourselves.

The unfortunate truth is that, even before Abraham Lincoln was sworn into office on March 4, 1861; seven states of the deep Confederate South had already seceded from the Union because they knew it was their only hope to hold onto their slaves. The dates of secession are as follows:

    South Carolina: December 20, 1860

    Mississippi: January 9, 1861

    Florida: January 10, 1861

    Alabama: January 11, 1861

    Georgia: January 19, 1861

    Louisiana: January 26, 1861

    Texas: February 1. 1861

So these Southern states seceded from the Union while lame duck Buchanan was still in office. Southern Democrats knew that secession was the only way to preserve a lifestyle of white supremacy and bigotry in the South.

After the North won the American Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln won his second presidential election, it was actor and Democratic activist John Wilkes Booth (pictured below) who shot and killed President Lincoln.

The unfortunate truth is that it was Southern Democrats, including Former Confederate Army General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who formed the Ku Klux Klan – which also included the late 20th century West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd as one of its elite members. This is the racist group that burned wooden crosses in black people’s yards and lynched countless black people in an attempt to keep the black population under control and in fear. The unfortunate truth is that it was Southern democrats in 1865 who came up with black codes to, among other things, keep firearms out of the hands of newly freed black people; thus denying them the right and ability to adequately defend themselves, their families and their property.

The unfortunate truth is that it was these same Southern democrats who invoked the institution of state approved marriage licenses (you know, the ability of the government to tell you who you can and cannot marry – and charge you a fee for doing so) for the sole purpose of prohibiting black people from marrying white people. You see, this is what the Democratic party is all about . . . growing the government incrementally to take away more and more of your hard earned money, as well as more and more of your individual freedoms for the sole purpose of making you more and more dependent upon the government.

Let’s move forward into the twentieth century . . .

Between 1920 and 1921 the United States entered into its first economic depression. The man pictured above is our 30th President, Calvin Coolidge. It was his economic policies that reduced the Federal income tax from 73% to 24% on the people and businesses who had the money to invest into their businesses. He also cut Federal spending by half. Amazingly, allowing business owners to keep more money to invest back into their businesses and hire more employees is exactly what they did. Because of this, the depression was over in a year or so, and the rest of the decade was known as the Roaring Twenties because it was the economy that was roaring.

In1929 the stock market collapsed, and this country suffered its second economic depression. Above you see a picture of our country’s 32nd President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was not in office when the depression began, but his economic policies did cause it to grow and fester into an eleven year great depression; which turned this country from one of the richest to one of the most indebted nations at the time. Under Roosevelt, the Tax rate was raised up to 94% on the people who had the money to spend on their businesses. Instead, business owners sent that money to Washington to fund public works programs, entitlement programs and other social vote buying mechanisms; creating no new wealth and expanding the people’s dependency on the government once again. I think it’s also noteworthy that Black Olympic Gold Medalist Jesse Owens was not invited to the White House and meet the first couple, but his Caucasian American Olympians were. So, yes . . . FDR was also, among other things, a racist.

    Fast forwarding into the 1960’s . . .

It’s the unfortunate truth that, in 1963, President Lyndon Baines Johnson (pictured above) observed the steadily declining number of blacks voting for Democrats in his home state of Texas and throughout the deep South in general. Not willing to allow this to go unchallenged, Johnson had an epiphany. The following is a direct quote from the then President himself made in the company of two Southern Governors . . . “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference… I’ll have them niggers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years”.

My apologies for the language in that quote. That is neither how I talk nor what I believe. I believe that people should be judged on the merit of their own work/abilities/accomplishments and not corralled into racial groups that discriminate one from another. However, I felt compelled to use the entire quote in order to show the full impact of what then-President Johnson was saying.

The epiphany was to buy back the black votes with government funded social entitlement programs and enacting policies like Affirmative Action to give the black community some preferential treatment solely based on the color of their skin. And so far, it seems that those policies have worked to keep the black community as a whole on the vote plantation for the past 55 years. This is where modern Democrats and leftist liberals alike say that the Democrats and the Republicans mysteriously “switched sides”. Um . . . excuse me. I don’t remember racist Southern Democrats like George Wallace, Lester Maddox and Bull Connor changing over to the Republican Party. (Do you remember hearing stories of black students having police dogs and high pressure water from fire hoses unleashed and opened up on them as they were trying to get into previously all white schools? Well, those were the men responsible for that fiasco.) However, the vote buying tactics of the Johnson administration set a course for a change in strategy that the Democratic Party has grown into a monster of gigantic proportions since then.

It’s the unfortunate truth that the Democratic Party also got its claws into the United States Constitution. Here are the three instances . . .

The 16th Amendment for the first time empowered the Federal Government to take away hard earned money from its citizens and allow politicians to take that money for the purpose of buying votes.

The 17th Amendment changed the way that people were voted to the Senate. You remember the Senate, right? The house of the states whose rights were more stringently protected prior to this Amendment’s passage.

The 18th Amendment . . . Prohibition . . . you remember reading or hearing of it, right? This amendment made it illegal for citizens to have an alcoholic beverage at the end of a hard day’s work in an effort to take away the sting of all these government regulations. This was the only constitutional amendment that took away an existing freedom. This was not surprising to me, because that’s what Democrats do . . . try and take away existing freedoms.

    More unfortunate truth . . .

It was a liberal Democrat controlled congress voted to move Social Security Funds from a private trust to a public fund so they could spend that money as well. How much did they “borrow” from Social Security (which, by the way, they have yet to repay)? Would you believe 2.85 trillion dollars. That’s 2,850,000,000,000 dollars! And people wonder why Social Security is in danger of collapsing? But wait, it gets even better (or should I say worse) because here’s what else they did. They taxed your Social Security benefit payments. They also stopped the tax deduction previously allowed for payments made into your Social Security fund. Then they voted to allow illegal immigrants, who never paid one red cent into Social Security, to receive Social Security benefits.

So you see, this summarizes what the Democratic party is all about . . . taxing the life out of working families and giving that money to people who didn’t earn it in order to make more and more people more and more dependent upon the government. Thus, their goal is to get as many people on the Democratic vote plantation as is possible. And how are they adding to the plantation now? By insisting that our Southern border is opened up to all illegal immigrants and register them to vote for the democratic party. That’s right, the Latino population is the latest wave for the Democratic Party’s plan to gain more registered voters. You see, it’s evidently not enough for dead people to remain registered voters for decades after they’ve been buried. It’s not enough to have a vast majority of the black community on their voter plantation because more and more black voters are seeing the light . . . #BLEXIT. It’s not enough for them to have many of their registered voters casting ballots multiple times in any given election – I refer you to the case of Meloise Richardson. They now have to register voters out of a group of people who are in this country illegally. Have they no shame? Well, obviously not because this is exactly what’s going on across the country.

    Moving into the 21st Century . . .

America has survived the most recent debacle of having a two-term president that was elected based upon the color of his skin rather than the content of his character. Along with that; we’ve seen the first female presidential candidate whose tenure as Secretary of State was a complete and utter disaster, a Justice Department that’s more corrupt than the pre-reformation version of the Roman Catholic Church. we see mass shootings in churches, synagogues and other public places we call Gun Free Zones by people whose only motivation was racial hatred, legions of Latin Americans and other nationalities trying to storm across our nation’s Southern border – during a midterm election season – to try and latch onto our social welfare system and members of the Congressional Black Caucus sitting in their seats . . . unmoved by the historically good economic numbers concerning the black community; because they know that if things continue to improve for the black community, then their place in W.E.B. DuBios’ “talented tenth” will be in jeopardy because they will have no influence or control over the people they’re supposed to represent.

Another subject that I find utterly disgusting is the amount of unadulterated hatred these leftist openly spew at our nation’s 45th President. Mind you . . . this is a man that left a multi-billion dollar business behind, run for the nation’s highest office, refuse to accept any pay for the job he’s been elected by the majority of the American voting public to do. His wife has been the classiest example of what the First Lady has been in over 28 years, only to have the press and other celebrities mock her for her accent. We have elected Democratic politicians and those running for office that have openly endorsed the assassination of the President and Vice President – which alone are criminal offenses, one leftist person of celebrity being pictured with a fake bloodied head of our President in one hand and a knife in the other. We have members of the Congressional Black Caucus kissing and embracing the anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan while calling our current President a racist without any factual backing whatsoever. But I’ve come to expect nothing less from a group of shameless individuals whose plan of operation has been to lie, cheat, steal and even kill if you have to.

    And finally . . .

To those who don’t believe that what I’ve written in this column is true, I don’t expect you to believe what I’m saying on my word alone. I fully expect you to look it all up yourself. That would, of course, require you to actually do some work for a change. And to those of you who have supported my efforts over the years through comments on this and other websites, thank you for your kind words of encouragement. This could possibly be last article that I post for this website without having to first submit it to moderators for approval. If that indeed ends up being the case; then I will no longer be a contributor to brownsfootballtalk.com and this website will eventually fade away into the sea of forgetfulness; much like what happened with dawgbones.com. I’ve written for other websites before – not receiving even so much as one red cent I might add – and I’ll find other websites to write for as well after my time with this one is over. Who knows? Maybe I’ll finally find one that will actually be willing to pay me for my opinions.

Be strong . . . be vigilant for what is true and right . . . be safe and shoot straight . . . God bless America and long live the Republic.

Grace and peace to you all.

I know, Soup. Politics really SUCKS. The only way that it’s going to get any better is to vote the corrupt ones out of office and keep them out.

Here’s what politicians “laws” did to my family:

    1. Bought a home and in 30 days the yard fell. Builder lied for a year about coming to fix it.

    2. 3 months after we closed they sold assets only to a new company.

    3. I called the township to ask for the builders insurance. They said they aren’t required to and don’t have it on file.

    4. I sued the builder.

    5. Arbitration date took 2.5 years to arrive.

    6. I won they appealed.

    7. Another portion fell in the yard knocking out my fix.

    8. Found out 4 years afterwards the township purposely lied to me and had the insurance on file the whole time. Their insurance denied my claim and won’t tell me why. Township hid behind laws written to absolve them of all damages.

    9. Fix cost approx $150,000. Out of pocket.

    10. DEP, senators office and.state rep response “ well that sucks. Good luck.”

    11. Owners had an LLC. They are protected by law. They filed chapter 7. Again protected by law. They became multimillionaires.

New company is off the hook due to laws allowing them to buy assets only.

When I sued, the old company failed to notify their insurance. Guess what? Laws allow them to not have to cover damages because the old company failed to tell them. Due to the LLC and Chapter 7 that company is fully protected.

    12. My wife, son and myself are punished to the tune of $150,000.

100% of politicians are corrupt. Voting is useless. I withdrew my right to vote earlier this year. No office will even discuss changing these laws with me. Voting is a waste of precious life. Everyone you vote for is a worthless pile of dogshit that does not care for you at all. They’d put their foot on your head if you were drowning

I hate politics. 2 reasons I don’t want politics on the site: 1) People tend to hate those who disagree with themselves politically and 2) This is one of the places I go to get away from all that crap. Political ‘discussions’ on the internet tend to devolve into mudthrowing and people that should be unified by their hatred of the Steelers and sorrow for the Browns are instead split into camps to bicker about which politician is more racist. I just don’t want that here.

Wunkle I don’t want you to leave. I don’t want anyone to leave, I like our little group of misfits. But I feel this group is stronger than any 1 individual. Even if I were to quit and shut down this site I bet a Facebook group would emerge for the rest of you to get together and bitch about football.

So one of our esteemed members did what they’re totally NOT supposed to do and posted a story about politics (on the front page no less). What am I going to do about it? In my typical lazy fashion I’m going to do nothing. Wunkle you can continue posting your stories without oversight I just ask you please to make them about the Browns and not politics. Also to be fair if someone from the other side of the aisle wants to post a rebuttal or whatever about their opinion I’ll put that on the front page too.

To everyone, please continue to KEEP POLITICS OUT OF ANY FOOTBALL-RELATED THREADS. Have a great day.

Okay . . . so we can all agree that politics, by its very nature, SUCKS OUT LOUD. I’m also truly sorry to read that Soup had to go through that crazy episode with his home. And to Ice . . . I apologize for the grief that this article has caused you. Your voice is the final word on this website. After all, it’s you who put the money and sweat into it. So from henceforth, I’ll be more than happy to comply with your wishes concerning front page material. And if there’s another member/contributor/moderator whos wishes to express their rebuttal from the left side of the aisle, I would certainly welcome that as well. I just hope, for that person’s sake, that he/she brings an opinion that is factually based. Otherwise that person’s opinions will be verbally ripped to shreds . . . and deservedly so.

Wunkle you are the crustiest of curmudgeons. This is basically where I go when I want to avoid politics, that’s why I don’t want them here. Maybe I’m being greedy and maybe you guys would enjoy arguing about more than the Browns.

If you guys want to have off topic discussions, have at it. These discussions will be UNMODERATED and everyone is responsible for their posts. I won’t even read them. I created a forum just for off topic discussions. I don’t go in there. I don’t want anyone in there bothering me about anything that anyone in there says. If someone in there insults you then leave that forum. If someone in there threatens your safety notify the police, not me.

Wunkle. You already know I loathe all politicians.

That said, you left out a major player in your post. Rs and Ds did flip. The flipper wasn’t LBJ. It was JFK. He actually did care. LBJ felt he owed it to Kennedy to see it through. That’s where the shift arises.

Now LBJ and Nixon both committed massive treason. Nixon interfered in the Nam peace talks. That was treason. LBJ knee because, well, he did some illegal things so he let Nixon slide for his treason so he didn’t have to explain how he knew. That makes him an accomplice in the treason.

One thing I state is the right buys the votes of the rich while the left buys the votes of the poor. Meanwhile – both sides cater strictly to corporations.

Obamacare was written by big pharma and insurance companies while the EPA under current admin is controlled by oil and gas.

That is where you’re dead wrong, Soup. Johnson saw the expansion of entitlement programs and the enactment of affirmative action as opportunities to keep the blacks on the Democratic voter plantation at sub-minimum wages. If you were indeed right, then Southern racist Democrats like George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Bull Connor and Robert Byrd would’ve all left the Democratic Party for the Republican Party. Instead, they remained there until their death.

The big difference between conservatives and liberals is the amount of government control they want over our lives. Conservatives are for as limited government involvement as is humanly possible so that you can live your life and spend/invest your money as you see fit. Liberals want the people to be as dependent upon the government as is humanly possible, and thus have total control over every aspect of your life. That’s one reason the Democrats talk about gun control instead of crime control. If only the military and police are the only ones who have guns, then law abiding citizens are at the mercy of criminals, law enforcement and military alike.

I’m not saying that Republicans are exempt from the mess in Washington. NO, NO my friend. A corrupt politician is a corrupt politician; and it’s high time that the swamp is drained of lifetime politicians.

Oh, LBJ was the worst president we’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong. Kennedy was the “flip” on the “progressive” front.

As for LBJ reasoning, it was Kennedy:

    https://www.archives.gov/publications/prologue/2004/summer/civil-rights-act-1.html

I agree with your overall assessment on the left.

However, the right only claims to be for less government. Their actions show otherwise. Less government doesn’t come up with the Patriot Act. Doesn’t try and ban gay marriage, doesn’t keep marijuana (a 100% harmless drug that now in history has od’d on) illegal and taking up prison space.

As a reminder in 2018 I withdrew my right to vote.

Less government is actually the mantra of libertarians. Due to my commonality with their beliefs (there was an in depth quiz that matched your views with all candidates for president) I matched over 90% with the Libertarian candidate and voted for them the last 3 elections.

They are for small government. They are actually fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

Winked, I, for once have no issue with the post. If anybody doesn’t like it, it’s easy enough to ignore. And let’s be honest, there aren’t THAT many commentirs and topics around here that it’s crowding space we would be using.

Just to put my two for short cents into your OG post, my biggest issue with politics is the 2 parties have become so overwhelmingly strong, that everything’s is boiled down to either 1, or 2. Black or white.

You want to be a Democrat? Ok, here’s your list of everything you believe in. A republican? Ok, here’s your list. Now remember, you have to argue with each other every time they support something that’s not on your list.

You can’t tell what politicians actually believe, because they adopt their parties beliefs, or risk losing their all-importantant backing.

I had hoped in the last presidential election, mutual disdain for the 2 candidates would lead to a strong 3rd party showing by Libertarian candidate, but his campaign was ill-run, in my opinion, and it wasn’t meant to be. So, I’ve all but given up hope that it will change anytime soon.

Ok, that’s my 2 cents and change.

Well it’s because of the car, the Delorean rocks. And you smoke meth, it doesn’t break down at all it just runs out of gas and nuclear fusion, big difference.

And to answer DPD’s question, not the flying Delorean, the grounded version lol. Time circuits off however. I mean, that’s super cheating.
