IceKeymasterIf you REALLY want to see something funny, look up the draft grades that the national pundits gave our 2018 draft.

ParticipantYou really can’t even rag on Corbett. He’s a rookie that has to change positions on top of adjusting to the nfl, and we have established NFL starters ahead of him at guard and center.
I mean, unless you’re judging him as a tackle, which he was never meant to be in the nfl, then you really can’t be disappointed in him.
Even the pick, the Giants were picking between our 2 picks. No way they were taking Chubb after picking Barkley in the 1st, but they could’ve easily taken Corbett. So, Dorsey wisely picked Corbett first knowing Chubb would be there with his second pick.

IceKeymasterAt best you can say Corbet needs more time to learn the NFL game. He didn’t come in and dominate like Bitonio did. Not saying he’s a bust or anything, but if we’re redrafting in hindsight he probably falls a round.

ParticipantTrue true. But if we redrafted at this point in 2012, we would all be wishing we gave up 4 1st round picks for RG3. Just saying.
Oh, and FYI, in the Nick Chubb vs. “generational talent” debate, Chubb has more yards on fewer carries than Barkley. So, yeah, I’m good with him.

DawgSoldierParticipantNever thought Barkley was that good. Any RB that sucks running it between the tackles SUCKS in my evaluation

IceKeymasterBarkeley is Reggie Bush. Remember that other ‘generational talent’ that people thought teams should move up to take 1st overall? He’s super shifty, can catch like a receiver, but turns every run into either a 2 yard loss or he tries to break it outside.

GABrownsFanParticipantI have a buddy who’s a Rams fan. He was so high on Barkley he was telling me that we should take him at 1.
“He’s going to be even better than Gurley.”
Me: “No. He really isn’t. We have to take Baker.”
He now agrees with me.

IceKeymasterThere were people on this site that said we should take him 1st overall. When will people learn that ‘draft analysts’ that use the term ‘generational talent’ have no idea what they’re talking about and are just parroting each other.

ShooterModeratorI would take Barkley over Chubb.
If we took Barkley #1, Baker would have absolutely still been there at #4.
Barkely and Baker? Is that a serious question? In a heartbeat I would do that if we’re redrafting.
The only downside to that is we lose Ward. who I believe is in the running for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
So, wait, I don’t really know what I’m saying anymore I take all that back. Carry on.

So, wait, I don’t really know what I’m saying anymore I take all that back. Carry on.Barkley has 131 carries for 586 yards. He’s also started since day 1.
Chubb started 4 weeks ago and has 94 carries for 579 yards.
Did I mention they both have 5 rush TDS?
Mayfield, unquestionably, would’ve been gone by then. He was far and away the best QB in the draft. It wasn’t close
