No sakes in the last 2 games awesome. But it also must be noted Cinci and Atlanta are not really that good at rushing the passer.

It will be interesting to see how Robinson does the rest of the season.

Right now my opinion is whoo looks like a a good right tackle playing left tackle

Well that’s because Robinson is just flat-out better than Harrison, and it’s not even close. Also, the coaching staff has gone back to the short, quick passing game. For some reason, our previous idiot coaches felt that 7-step drops and a long passing attack was the way to go and the results were…….well they got fired. Now that we’re back to quick reads, quick passes, it takes pressure off the line and has our offense humming.

Yes Robinson is playing much better than Harrison was, but Shooter is right. There’s a lot that goes into that. We’re playing a lot more shotgun, there’s a lot more 3 step drops than 7 step drops, Mayfield is getting better at feeling the pocket, etc.

Seeing how Robinson and the OL as whole does against houstans front will be a BIG test IMO.

Okay the Texans and the steelers have comparble fronts in the amount of pressure they get.

If the Browns want to take a step forward offensively the need a real LT and a True #1 WR

Shitty part is this draft class is very meh on both those positions. Theres guys I like, But nobody that makes ooooooh yeah lets go after that dude he is awesome.

Hey maybe I am wrong about the talent in this draft and it will surprise me. I wouldn’t mind being pleasantly surpised. But I gotta go with my eyes tell me.

The Browns just faced JJ Watt and Jadaveon Clowny and gave up 0 sacks. I think it’s safe to say our line, especially left tackle, is fine. Focus on other more pressing needs first.

They didn’t give up any sacks because all they did was quick passes. So The texans sat in the box all day and strangeled the offence like a boa.

If they had a LT and OL that could give our QB time on 5 and 7 step drops that game would have been very different.

Bottom line Kitchens and Mayfield can’t run slow developing plays because thats one of the OL. See the exodus of Todd Haely trying to run 5&7 step drop plays for an example.

If the Browns want to contend with the AFC North they need a better LT. Investing in a blindside protector after you FINALLY found a QB should be filed under DUH. As in No shit sherlock.

Relevant (and for once good analysis from the PD):

2 diferent teams cut him because he couldn’t do the Job….why were they wrong?

They weren’t. There seems to be a pretty solid book out on Robinson; line up conventionally to his left and he’s a brick wall against whatever you throw out there. Line up far to his left and he doesn’t have the footwork to get back to block you. Line up across from him and swim/club back inside and he can’t adjust.

Bitonio is great at covering the inside move, and our screen-heavy offense protects from rushers lining up too far outside…but that’s not ideal or sustainable.

I’d say developing Robinson is one of our biggest priorities these last few games, as it’s really technique which is his Downfall. He certainly already looks better than advertised, I’m more than willing to give him a shot. Dude’s a physical freak, and if he can help keep our options open with a top ten pick….
