Gameballs and Goats, Cincy

November 26, 2018 at 12:01 am #14441soupParticipantGame balls:
Gregg Williams – this team has been fully prepared the last two weeks. 3 weeks into his tenure.
Kitchens – offense has put up
1. 3 TDS
2. 4 TDS
3. 5 TDSIn his first 3 games. I expect 6 next week to keep the trend moving.
Mayfield. 4TDS. Want insanity? The last two weeks he’s completed 78% of his passes for 7 TDS and. 0 ints
Chubb – insane TD grab. 2 more TDS
Damarious Randall – for giving the interception to Hue.
Offensive line. 2nd game in a row – no sacks.
Rich Gannon for this “someone needs to tell Mayfield he’s a rookie” as a compliment to him hitting 9 different receivers and shredding Cincy
Goats:
Special teams – let up way too many big returns.
2nd half coaching – they needed to keep their foot on the guess quit going away from what’s working. Never ever take a half off like that. Last 5 to 7 minutes of a game up by 28? Sure. Last 30? Fuck no

So what you’re saying is that we should have been calling more of the 5 wide shotgun stuff that worked in the 1st half instead of pounding the ball? I mean it’s ok if that’s what you’re saying, it just contradicts every thing you’ve ever said in your entire life so I just want to give you a chance to clarify.

We needed to stick with what was working and mixing it up. If your plan is to run it, do it from the same formations you were in half one.
You can’t treat Q3 as a time waster. Halfway through Q4 with that lead is good. Q3 we took the foot off the gas and it was a mistake.
3rd and 7 an end around to Perriman was a bad call. Throw it. He sliced them up all game especially on 3rd down

Since he wouldn’t give you a straight answer, yes, this is exactly what he is saying. Ignore his foolishness of the last 10+ years of “running the ball 35+ times a game”.
But be careful, he may block you on here if he has to tell you too many times he was wrong and you are right.
Hue Jackson is a loser.

And this is kind of what scares me about Dorsey. 3 mistakes that were heavily invested in (well not gordon so much, but still)
Hue Jackson is a loser.
November 26, 2018 at 12:46 pm #14458the dudeParticipantGameball
Gregg Williams – well prepared and excellent coordination amongst both sides of the field
Baker – Dudes looking all pro like
Loser Hue – for doing what he does best, loses.
Offensive Line – Guys made Chubb look all pro.
Chubb – helping himself looking all pro – seriously, I was so happy when they drafted him because in the back of my mind, I kept thinking this is the steal of the draft. He is everything that he advertised to be. Hope he stays healthy because he is a long term answer.
Wide receiver core and Njoku – Everyone stepped up and made plays.
Defense played a phenomenal game too. Its a shame that a few fools on a forum cannot man up and say these guys still played a hard nosed game.
Goats
Bengals organization for hiring losers.
Hue Jackson is a loser.

There was barely any investment at all in any of those players. Certainly not “heavy” in any way.
As usual, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
November 26, 2018 at 1:08 pm #14460IceKeymasterLoser Hue – for doing what he does best, loses.
I chortled.
November 26, 2018 at 1:14 pm #14461IceKeymasterIn Dorsey’s defense he’s not been afraid to get rid of people who don’t fit, even if they were high draft picks.
Anyone else think that Corey Coleman would trade half of his shoe closet for another chance to be on this team? Too late Corey. You done fucked up A-a-ron.

As usual, you have no idea what you’re talking about.Ha! Who stated this nonsense? Tyrod was a 3rd round pick trade. Voted team captain and teaching Mayfield how to prep like a pro. Well worth the investment.
Hyde? Huh? A free agent signing with $100m cap room is a major investment? Since when?
Gordon? He cost nothing as he was still on his original contract.
This insanity beats any time I’ve gone off the rails. Dorsey drafts Mayfield, Ward and Chubb. Built the Chiefs and helped build the Packers with the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Hyde singing scared this person? Are you serious Clark?

Soup you’ve called for everyone to be fired. Everyone. At every coaching position. You’ve called for entire front offices and coaching staffs fired. You called for security guards and equipment managers fired. You’ve called for team trainers and nutritionists fired. You’ve called for the people who do the nails of the wife of the regional sales manager fired. You’ve tried to fire fans.

He did call for that in chat a month or 2 ago. Please fight.
November 29, 2018 at 8:48 am #14513IceKeymasterI also want to mention that I’m not trying to steal the Gameballs and Goats thread from Soup. I know it’s his baby and he looks forward to firing everyone every week. But with no one else writing articles I think it’s nice to put a pic from the game up and post a link to this discussion on the main page.

Wouldn’t bother me even if you did. After the game the wife and I left for dinner and the Allen Stone concert (absolutely AMAZING!)

November 30, 2018 at 8:47 pm #14536BrownsFan4LifeParticipantHyde wasn’t a bad signing. He was scoring TDs. He just didn’t average enough yards per carry.
I don’t think trading for Tyrod Taylor was bad but can’t say it was good either. No one here really knows what impact he had on Baker. Some things will never show up in stats.
The biggest mistake Dorsey made was not do ring Hue before the season started.
The team is looking decent. Mayfield is on track for the best season of any Browns rookie QB in history. Chubb can catch the ball.
The defense might give up a lot of yards but they don’t give up a lot of points. We look like a completely different team from the start of the season and that in my opinion is a direct result of Williams and Kitchens along with players continuing to develop.
The team is extremely young and by now we are usually talking draft and this year that isn’t the case. We have 5 games left and could win 2 or 3 more.
Go Browns.
Loser Hue was 3-36-1. Williams is 2-1.
November 30, 2018 at 9:26 pm #14539soupParticipantDorsey didn’t have a choice in regards to Hue. Haslam made that a stipulation that Hue retain his job
