Don’t Alabama lineman bust a lot? Seems like they have a high bust rate at the next level.

And yes, I’m going to throw that out there Ice-style and let somebody else do the research.

Was going to say the same thing Dawg E. It’s not just the lineman either, it’s most players. Look no further than this past draft where everyone was drooling over Minkah Fitzpatrick and laughed at the Browns when they took Ward instead. Ward is in line for a DROY trophy and people in Miami are quietly wondering is Fitzpatrick is a bust. For all of their vaunted players in college, Alabama produces some really shitty pros.

A few points on drafting a LT in general and on Alabama players.

On drafting an OT high. They have lowest bust rate vs other positions. Also a busted LT can become a really good RT or even a really good interior lineman, so the selection isn’t completely worthless just overdrafted if ends up that way.

As for Alabama players, They tend te be at or near there ceiling when they go to the league because Saban is such a damn good coach. It’s not that Alabama players bust is they don’t tend to get better in the League. Is this True in every case, NO. If Marcel Darius was available to team up with Ogunjobi for example who would be against that? Same with LB CJ Mosely.

Anyways what I was looking for was a reaction to film and play on thefield not an evaluation of prospects from the program to be honest.
