Hire Bruce Arians! HHAHAHAHAHAHAKILLME

The reality is Ice, hiring Arians solves that very issue. Here’s why:

Arians is old as fuck. He’s not coming here to rebuild this franchise or lead us for the next decade. I genuinely believe that Kitchens is our future long term head coach. The problem is he has no experience as one. Hell this is his first time calling plays in a coordinator role, he’s always been a position coach and no higher. He’s just not ready to be a HC yet.

Enter Arians.

On top of Arians already stating that he would keep Kitchens on as the OC, they have a ton of experience working together from their time in Arizona (where Kitchens was RB, Tight Ends, and QB coach) so the pairing would be natural and flawless, not to mention would create probably the greatest environment imaginable for Baker to not only continue to develop in but outright flourish. Arians could come to Cleveland for 2, maybe 3 seasons max, and lead this franchise through it’s formative years as a playoff contender, all while grooming Kitchens to take over as the long-term HC by letting him run the offense. If it happened in 3 years from now, Kitchens would be 47 and could potentially lead this franchise for the next 2 decades.

It’s actually not a bad plan at all. In fact, it’s a really good one with the best possible outcome. I don’t know about you, but in 2-3 years I’d much rather have a 46-47 year old Freddie Kitchens as our HC and paired with Baker for the next 12 years rather than a 58 year Mike McCarthy.

I’m gonna say it right now.

I don’t think Arians even gets an interview for our HC job.
There is zero demand for his services right now and the only reason people are even mentioning his name is because he is shamelessly whoring himself out on national TV. What qualification does he have other than saying he’ll keep Kitchens? I’d take Williams OR Kitchens as HC a million times before I take Arians.
If Hue said he’d keep Kitchens, would you hire him back?

You guys actually think Dorsey is gonna be dumb enough to hire a Haley clone that will force feed his offense to Baker instead of playing to Baker’s strengths? Whoever is our OC next year will continue building on what we’ve been successful running. Baker is the most important part of the Browns franchise right now, and I trust that Dorsey will consider that first when looking at HC candidates. Even if the OC is not Kitchens, he will work with Baker instead of jamming a square peg in a round hole.

It’s too soon to worry about coaching until after the season.

The Browns are 3-2 under Williams so who even says that the interim title won’t be removed. He could easily be our permanent HC and that solves the coaching change issue.
