August 8, 2019 at 11:23 am #16261soupParticipantUPDATE per MKC Twitter. It’s a 4th round pick that can move up to a 3rd round pick

August 8, 2019 at 2:08 pm #16262DawgPoundDudeParticipantWell, no more calls of “DOOOOOOOOOK” (sorry, Ice).
Still, that’s…a pretty good deal for a player that publicly said he didn’t want to be with the team anymore. He’ll be missed, but by all reports, our backfield is going to be just fine without him, and he’s gonna do fine in Houston. And we got good value for him. There’s really nothing bad about any of this.
Godspeed, Duke.
August 8, 2019 at 3:18 pm #16263DawgSoldierParticipantthis also creates some salary cap room to resign some players.
All in All a good trade by the “Dorse” IMO.

August 8, 2019 at 3:59 pm #16265soupParticipantStill stand by it. He would’ve exploded in our offense:
* Since entering the NFL in 2015, he leads all RB with 2,170 receiving yards
* Third in RB receptions since 2015 with 235
* Career rushing average of 4.3 on 299 attempts

* Career rushing average of 4.3 on 299 attemptsWhile it’s hard to dispute the numbers, think about the receivers we’ve had in that time period. With that said, I dispute none of this…he would have thrived- IF he wanted to be here. After signing Hunt, that was pretty much that. Take it as you will. A 4th for a guy who wanted to be gone anyways is a hell of a deal, and a third would be a downright theft of a draft pick.
Considering how it all played out before today, this was the best-case scenario for everyone.
August 8, 2019 at 5:45 pm #16267DawgSoldierParticipantHere’s a game/mind changer soup “IF” it happens. “Rumor” is Duke was dealt to clear cap space and create an asset to get LT Trent Williams from the Redskins.
Emphasis on IF and RUMOR. But that’s how the OBJ trade talk started….just saying
Trent Williams at LT and Greg Robinson moving to RT would Massively improve this OL IMO.
Probably the best in the North at a Minimum

August 8, 2019 at 6:41 pm #16269MDP Sack AttackParticipantI think it would take closet to a second rounder or a pair of thirds to get Williams, but I’d be stoked. LT is the only glaring question mark on the offense.
August 9, 2019 at 8:52 am #16271IceKeymasterWe’re not trading for Williams this season. We’re rolling with the guys we have on the line.
August 9, 2019 at 8:54 am #16272IceKeymasterDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK will be missed. Quality player, quality person. 5 yards per touch guaranteed. I hope he thrives in Texas except when he plays us.
August 9, 2019 at 5:44 pm #16285GABrownsFanParticipantIt moves up to a third rounder if Duke is active for 10 games this season.
August 9, 2019 at 8:51 pm #16288IceKeymasterSO basically a guaranteed 3rd rounder.
