Hopefully buddy boy picks better Offensive linemen than Corbett come this spring.

Corbett would have been the prize of a Sashi Brown draft class

I love Dorsey player wise. At 33 though it’s a huge miss. He was always inactive

Almost a first round pick, and he plays 15 snaps in 2 seasons. Oof.

This is a HUGE admission of bust status. You know what? I like it. For some reason this guy isn’t a starting NFL lineman so instead of sitting on him for 4 years and just hoping things get better, admit the mistake, rip the bandaid off and move on. We got what we could get for him. We’re lucky to get that.

2 thoughts on this: first, I saw an article yesterday that said after the Zeitler trade, the Browns gave Corbett a locker right in line with the starting o lineman lockers. Basically announced that he was going to be given the job. But he was so underwhelming from day 1 of training camp, they had to bring in others to replace him. It’s good that they didn’t hand him the gig, but also speaks to just HOW terrible he was in camp.

Second thought: I’m sitting at a bar showing a repeat of the chiefs/Texans game, and I see Roderick Johnson is starting for the Texans. No idea how successful he’s been or how long he’s been starting. But, it makes me wonder, are we giving up on Corbett too soon? That’s one criticism I have of the Browns, is they give up on talent quickly.

Interesting note; evidently the initial proposal by the Rams was Marcus Peters for Joel Bitonio. In certainly glad we turned that one down, we already have four starting caliber CBs, and Bitonio is one of our only two starting caliber linemen.
