    Browns QB coach 2018:

    Ken Zampese

2002: passing game coordinator for Rams

    2003-2015: QB coach Bengals

    2016-17: OC Bengals

14 years as a QB coach. Mayfield sets rookie NFL TD record.

    Not retained by Kitchens:

    2019 QB coach: Ryan Lindley

2017 – San Diego State graduate assistant

    2018 – Browns RB coach

0 years of dealing with WR/QBs from a coaching standpoint. Massive production decline in Mayfield.

Al Saunders: 2018 designed the red zone plays.

2019: retired. We suck in red zone this year

    2018 OL coach: Bob Wylie

Countless years as an o-line coach. Mayfield got sacked I believe 5 times second half of the year. He was sacked 5 times yesterday

2019: James CampenHe has several years of oline coaching with GB. Can’t fault that. But the line is putrid this year

It’s amazing the changes under the head coach that cause a domino effect of suck. Not retaining Zampese was beyond dumb

So you’re saying the coaching staff under him is irrelevant?

The easiest way to tell what I’m saying is to pay attention when I’m saying it.

More important is the difference here in the players compared to last year. Saunders retired. That was a function of age.

Wylie basically retired as well. Kitchens even said his desire to retire was a factor in not offering him a new contract when his expired. Wylie was just butthurt that he didn’t get an offer.

The line hasn’t played much different from last year. The biggest difference has been no Zeitler, and when Robinson doesn’t play, we have no other half decent tackle. Which was the case last year, unless you’ve already forgotten about the failure that was Desmond Harrison?

Your whole argument comes down to Baker. His sophomore slump has been well documented, but, I’m not about to pin it all on Zampese/Lindley. Specially when they brought in Monken. Where’s he in al this? How much of the qb coach change was his say? Did Zampese WANT to work with Monken?

Too many questions, not enough answers.

Monken/Kitchens are the most to blame, their offense has been terrible. Nothing is tailored to our roster, we make no adjustments for injuries, situational play calling is non-existent.

I can’t fault our line coach, he’s gone into multiple games with three starters who will quite likely be out of the league next year, and an offense that rarely gives them blocking help and forces Hubbard to go one-on-one with Bosa as deep routes develop.

Same with a QB coach. He’s not calling the plays. When the game plan has suited Mayfield, during our win streak, he’s looked like a pro bowler.

Here’s a question Soup will never answer: Why all the hate for Kitchens, but no hate for his coordinators? Why isn’t Monken getting fired by Soup weekly? What responsibility does he have for the state of things?

Multiple times I brought up the correlation of Winstons decline under Monken along with Mayfield. Also call him the Oprah Winfrey of vertical routes because “you get a vertical route, you get a vertical route, everybody gets a vertical route!”

Why does Kitchens get my wrath? He’s stubborn and refuses to learn and he’s foolish enough to calm his own plays.

Kitchens doesn’t coach discipline as evidenced by the penalties.

Kitchens doesn’t learn as evidence by his absolute refusal to run at the end of the Rams game – to paraphrase him afterwards “I should’ve run,” 8 games later he a so refused to run to the point of 15 plays in a row without a run – post game “I should’ve run.”

Kitchens chose to bench Randall, he purposely short handed the Browns in the biggest game of his career and our playoff hopes.

Players take on the personality of their head coach. That’s why he gets the brunt of it

That’s his MO. He knows no other way.

Soup, you literally bitched about Kitchens having no discipline, and then bitches about him discipline Randall in the same post. You can’t have it both ways.

And besides Randall, we’ve seen Jermaine Whitehead and Antonio Calloway cut for disciplinary reasons. Chris Smith and Devaroe Lawrence are probably in the same boat, though that’s not certain.

Sometimes, you have to actually blame the players. They’re grown men, they don’t “take on their bosses personality.” I can tell you my personality is nothing like my bosses.

So on one hand, you berate him for “not coaching discipline”, then when he makes a coaching decision for disciplinary reasons, you berate him for short-handing the team.

You don’t get it both ways. Pick one, and fucking stick to it.

He’s undisciplined himself. Decided to attempt discipline and take a rivalry loss to a 3rd trying offense in a playoff race all while wearing a “Pittsburgh started it” T-shirt 2 days before the game. He doesn’t have any discipline himself which is why the team doesn’t possess any.

So because I got along with Kiesel I’m a traitor? Huh?

If you don’t understand why it’s dumb for him to wear that shirt in public and how it completely shows he’s not disciplined then you need to learn more about leading by example.
