I actually don’t think you’re too far off with that watching him today.
Honestly, I have kept a pretty close eye on him all year. Dude is about easiest guy in the world to block. I will say he is actually a pretty good tackler…..but what help is that if it is 7-9 yards down the field every play.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
He reminds me a lot of Andra Davis, which is fine as an ILB/defensive QB. Elite in coverage, good in pursuit and brings down anyone he gets a paw on, with an inability to get into the backfield. With our defensive line he’s a great fit.

not trying to compare, but davis was better. worst tackler, but better overall player

You could be right, that’s really tough to compare. We had that promising line of Lang, Brown, Warren, and Roye back then as well (which sounds silly, but damned if that didn’t look awesome on paper in the early 2000s.
I just looked it up and cannot believe how long ago that era was!
What a fucking blur the past 11 years of ineptitude have been. By no means a fan of Crennel, but we’ve been a ship without a rudder since that era.
Sometimes people have unpopular opinions because they are brave and fighting groupthink. And sometimes opinions are unpopular because they are wrong. In my unpopular opinion, this is a case of the latter.
This is one thing I cannot stand about Browns fans. It’s literally “HES THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE!!!” or its “HES TRASH, CUT HIS ASS NOW!!”
Schobert is never gonna be Luke Keuchly or C.J Mosley. But he’s not a liability either. He’s a solid player, if unspectacular. He is not, under any circumstances, below average.
