David Blough was with the #Browns in camp & preseason this year before being traded to the Lions. Here’s what he had to say when comparing the two teams:

“There’s more structure here in Detroit. Everywhere. The meeting rooms, the coordinators, the head coach…”

Nothing shocking to me or anything I didn’t guess. It is obvious that the team lacks discipline and structure.
Im really tired of OBJ and Landry acting like idiots every time they get a first down. Those unsportsmanlike penalties are a direct reflection of poor coaching. If Kitchens actually disciplined them the first time it happened this year, it wouldn’t still be going on 15 games into the season.

That’s an interesting and very telling statement. Why? Because it’s bullshit.

OBJ has been called for 6 penalties this year for 40 yards. They are as follows: False Start (2), Offensive Pass Interference (1), Illegal Shift (1), Unnecessary Roughness (1), Taunting (1)

The taunting/unsportsmanlike was from the celebration from his TD last week against the Ravens.

Jarvis Landry was called for 4 for 31 yards, with 3 enforced (1 was declined). They are as follows: Illegal Blindside Block (1), Taunting (1), Illegal Shift (1), Illegal Crackback (1)

Landry’s taunting/unsportsmanlike penalty was also after a TD against the Browns.

In Landry’s case, 1 was pre-snap and 2 were for illegal blocks. For OBJ, 3 were pre-snap, the other 2 were offensive P.I. and unecessary roughness.

in total, 9 enforced penalties, 4 pre-snap for a total of 71 yards.

0 of them came on unsportsmanlike penalties after a 1st down. 0. Not 1.

I’m curious of how you can be “tired” of them “acting like idiots” after every 1st down and getting unsportsmanlike penalties when it literally never happened once?

Further, how are they a direct reflection of poor coaching when 1 was for a TD celebration (something everyone else in the league is allowed to do but for some reason OBJ is not) and 1 was after a TD and he talked a bit too much shit to the DB he beat?

Explain to me how that’s on coaching. I’ll wait right here.

My guess, as is so often the case with people, is you bought into a false narrative and just jumped on the hate train with a bunch of other people instead of actually looking at facts. It’s a problem in our society.Don’t fall for the trap. It’s not real!

Last game OBJ got one after a 1st down. Though I agree with your premise. They aren’t the problem. They want to win and they are getting in Maurice Kitchens face because they know he doesn’t have the brain for the sport

Those unsportsmanlike penalties are a direct reflection of poor coaching.

So are their lack of unsportsmanlike penalties a direct reflection of good coaching?

And Ice it’s not even so much that I’m defending Kitchens here, it’s just that I hate bullshit.

If you hate Kitchens and want him fired, man that’s cool, there’s plenty of fodder and reasons for you to build a case ya know? But when you start coming in with shit that’s just not real, it totally erodes any validity the point may have had.
