My “”guess”” is a state of the Browns address and possibly elliot wolf elevated to GM.

Elliot Wolf as GM is my best case scenario at this point.

Except the coach has say in the GM so it would be both in an announcement.

Supposed to be happening during a break in his interview.

I doubt he’s hired today; would not we at least need to satisfy the “Rooney Rule” first?

Also, I’m sure McCarthy would want to talk with the Giants and Panthers before agreeing here.

Mike McCarthy has not been hired. It is just a break in the interview.
People are so quick to jump the gun.

Haslem said he is focusing on people with NFL experience.

Apparently the rambling idiot stopped talking to McCarthy to tell everyone Podesta is leading the process but Haslam are picking the coach. Fuck this ignorant moron.

Apparently they never had actual McCarthy interest because you don’t leave an interview to host something like this. If I were McCarthy I’d just walk out the door right now

Haslem has said he is looking outside the organization for the GM so that would imply that Wolf doesn’t have a shot.

And the break was scheduled. It isn’t a surprise to me that Podesta is leading the process. Consider he didn’t want to hire Jackson and wanted Sean McDermott instead and last year wanted Stefanski.

While Depodesta is leading the coaching search, it doesn’t mean he has more power than before.
