The same thing I hated Shannahan for in Cleveland just cost him his 2nd Super Bowl. Refusing to run the ball when the situation dictates it.
Up 20-17 with 5:12 left. 2nd and 5 after a 5 yard run. Pass incomplete lost them the game. If he runs there on a tired DL he has potential to run out the clock. He forgot what got him there and refused to hand the ball off all game with a terrible QB (who also missed a wide open Sanders for what would be the go ahead TD) Mind numbing how he could forget his stupidity in Atlanta.
They’ll hand the MVP to Mahomes when reality is it belongs to Williams.
Great game overall and at least the refs didn’t ruin it

Don’t agree with you that it cost them the game but it wasn’t a great play call. I didn’t even mind passing there but they play wasn’t a good one. There is definitely a difference between dumb pass plays and smart ones.
There is no guarantee they run an get anything. The stupid play for me when I looked to my brothers and said they must have Freddie on speed dial was when it was 3rd and 10 and they throw a bomb knowing that if its incomplete that they are going to go for it. Thats 2 plays to get 10 yards and they take a chance and throw a bomb. Of course if the “GREAT JIMMY G” doesn’t overthrow the pass, its a TD but the odds of a completion are that great.
