Round 1 Pick 1 (1) Bengals: Joe Burrow (QB) LSU
Round 1 Pick 2 (2) Redskins: Chase Young (DE) Ohio St.
Round 1 Pick 3 (3) Lions: Derrick Brown (DT) Auburn
Round 1 Pick 4 (4) Giants: Andrew Thomas (OT) Georgia
Round 1 Pick 5 (5) Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Alabama
Round 1 Pick 6 (6) Chargers: Justin Herbert (QB) Oregon
Round 1 Pick 7 (7) (CAR) Dolphins: Tristan Wirfs (OT) Iowa
Round 1 Pick 8 (8) Cardinals: Jeff Okudah (CB) Ohio St.
Round 1 Pick 9 (9) Jaguars: CJ Henderson (CB) FloridaTop 2 OT’s are gone and a generational LB is on the board. I pull the trigger on BPA and take Simmons. Becton and Wills IMO are not good fits for the outside zone scheme. They move better going forward as drive blockers.
Round 1 Pick 10: Isaiah Simmons, OLB/ILB, Clemson
Height: 6-4. Weight: 238. Hand: 33.38. Hand: 9.63.
40 Time: 4.39.
Started out as safety ended up as LB. Probabally the best LB prospect since Luke Kuechly came out. Barring injury this kid has the ability to make it to Canton and wear a gold jacket.
Round 2 Pick 9: Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise
Height: 6-6. Weight: 311. Arm: 33.38. Hand: 9.
40 Time: 4.93.
Played most of the year hurt with a toe injury and came out a year early….needed to go back and get stronger IMO. But the only knocks on this kid is he needs toi get stronger, only has 3 years in school and had a a bad toe injury. Just on scheme fit for the outside zone I have him ranked 3rd beating out Becton and Wills because of his experiane doing it and his athletic ability.
Round 3 Pick 10: Jeremy Chinn, FS/SS, S. Illinois
Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois
Height: 6-3. Weight: 219. Arm: 32. Hand: 9.5.
40 Time: 4.45.
Directional school guy that played at against a D2 level of competiton and did very well. He has great measurable and great production. Now can he do it against NFL talent…? No idea as he really has not gone against it.
Round 3 Pick 33 (COMP): Davon Hamilton, DT, Ohio St.
Height: 6-3. Weight: 327. Arm: 32.88. Hand: 9.88.
40 Time: 5.14.
Pure luxery pick right here. Hamilton will become part of a nice 4 man rotation at defensive tackle and shore up a sad run defense as well as add some interior pass rush.
Round 4 Pick 9: Derrek Tuszka, DE, N. Dakota St.
Height: 6-4. Weight: 252. Arm: 32.13. Hand: 9.85.
40 Time: 4.79.
Best pass rusher in D2 last year. The kid is relentless and has habit of forcing fumbles
Round 6 Pick 8: Antonio Gandy-Golden WR Liberty
Height: 6-4. Weight: 222. Arm: 31.325. Hand 9.65.
40 Time: 4.60.
Tall lanky WR with hands that are like velcro. This kid from Jerry Faldwell U is more of a long strider than a burner but he could be an excellent WR2 possesion/redzone target. I think he can get stronger and faster in an NFL strength/fitness program.
Round 7 Pick 30: Darrynton Evans, RB, App. St.
Height: 5-10. Weight: 203. Arm: 31.63. Hand: 9.25
40 Time: 4.41.
Basically a track guy that plays running back and can catch some. Doesn’t break a lot of tackles but when he hits a seem he is gone when he see’s daylight. 3rd down back and returner as well as cover guy on ST.
