Game balls:
Nick Chubb – he’s a beast
Kareem Hunt – if we build a lead and be intelligent and stop throwing in Q 4 this 1 2 punch will be insane
Mayfield – he was on point today
Porter Guston – Myles Garrett on coke had a hell of a game
Beckham – no dropped passes!!!
Richardson – he messed things up all over
Goats:
Teller – dude had some bad plays today
Sendejo or whatever his name is, just awful
Freedom!!!
September 17, 2020 at 11:49 pm #19338MDP Sack AttackParticipantChubb and Hunt have the potential to be a better 1-2 lunch than Byner and Mack in ’85.
Hooper is possibly the most complete tight end we’ve had…glue for hands, deceptively fast for his size, and his blocking is fantastic.
September 18, 2020 at 9:14 am #19343IceKeymasterBalls:
Landry and OBJ take as much pride in their blocking as they do catching the ball. They’re not o-linemen by any means but the effort is excellent. Both of them sealed key blocks on long runs last night.
Parkey – 5 for 5 on XP’s. Maybe we can stop worrying after every TD that we’re gonna doink it.
Dawsonstouchbacks – He got that victory cuddle in last night!
Janovich – It is so nice to have a fullback on the field, and Janovich is a good one. He had some fantastic blocks last night.
O-Line – Looks like Wells is gonna be a good one. Hubbard did a decent job filling in last night. A lot fewer holding penalties than last year. How about that run blocking!
Hunt and Chubb – I’m so happy they both got theirs. These two guys seem selfless. Chubb doesn’t throw a fit when Hunt goes in, and after each of their many, many TD’s last night they were hugging and excited for each other. It’s good to see.
Stefanski – first win as a head coach. The offense looked completely different from the game 4 days ago and that’s a good thing. Baker is clearly more comfortable rolling out. It was fun watching the defense double OBJ and then as soon as they singled him BOOM 43 yard TD. This offense gives me hope.
Goats:
Haslam – Dawson says the 8-person ‘dawgpound cheer cam’ is Haslam’s fault. My sources say this is unlikely.
The defense – Outside Ward and the line, we’re a shit-show. We got about 15 guys that will probably be back from injury for week 3, hopefully they can clean this garbage up.
Joe Burrow – I’m worried this kid will be pretty good in the future. Many of his best plays came immediately after he took a huge hit the play before. If they can protect him we might have a problem.
Refs – Blew a lot of calls on the field, and a couple non-calls as well. Not as bad as in the past, but not as good as week 1.September 18, 2020 at 10:37 am #19344MDP Sack AttackParticipantGame all: Ward. I think the only time I’ve seen his jersey yet this year has been that clutch deflection last night. Quarterbacks aren’t even looking his way.
September 18, 2020 at 11:10 am #19345Dawg E. DawgParticipantRefs. Ugh. They were missing guys jumping early on both sides last night. Look at Burrows sack-fumble: RT jumped real early (then got badly beat anyway).Don’t know how they missed obvious false starts.
Also, how did OBJ not get a DPI call for a guy pulling his jersey? That, to me, was a fireable offense for missing that call. Watched with 3 non-Browns fans, and all agreed.

I believe I read Ward covered AJ on 7 throws. 2 completions for 14 yards

Chubb
Hunt
Baker
The o=line
Myles
Richardson
Guston
Ward
coach Stefanski
Goats
The rest of the defenseOh a special mention for game ball I almost forgot
Janovich how great it was to see a FB his blocking was a major reason Chubb and Hunt ran wild plus he secured the win by coming down with the onside kick.September 19, 2020 at 12:13 am #19350MDP Sack AttackParticipantGame all: Ward. Those are Haden stats. Whom we also could/should still have which would mean I wouldn’t give a shit who was playing safety anymore.
September 19, 2020 at 3:48 pm #19355Dawg E. DawgParticipantWard DID cover Mike Thomas on the play where he caught a TD, though that was really just a good play, tough for anybody to defend.
All in all, I thought Burrow forcing the ball to Green was a real rookie move because Ward was all over him. I could not believe, with the Browns backfield, any sane person would try to pick on Ward.
