Goat: John Dorsey. Should of drafted Josh Allen.

Josh Allen would be garbage like any rookie QB that in 3 years goes through 4 HC 4OCs and 3 completely different offenses. It’s not conducive to success

Baker has clearly been hurting all game, it shows in how the ball has been sailing on him. Stefanski has called a terrible game around him, making him hold the ball for way too long, and not running the ball. This is all on Kevin.

Allen has more arm talent, speed, agility and strength than Mayfield. He also has better vision because he can actually see over his line. Baker physically can not see to make his throws today because of his height and collasping pocket. Where as Allen can.

    Put it this way:
Allen is a poor mans Patrick Mahomes.
Mayfield is a rich mans Colt McCoy/Johny Manzell

Bottom line, IMO the Browns can’t win the division with Baker Mayfield, But have the talent most everywhere else to take the division. I don’t hate the guy I just think was way over drafted.

This one was a perfect storm. Our best blocker is out, and Baker has what is clearly a serious injury to his ribs on his right side. Definitely having a big effect on his release time and throwing motion. He’s been a sitting duck.

On defense, injuries to our safeties have forced our corners to play off and avoid giving up the big play, and Ben is just taking what’s given underneath.

I wish we had been running the ball heavy from the start, and we’d just rolled the dice on blitzes. But by the second quarter it was too late for both of those.

Hope we can brush it off next week, we have an easy stretch coming up.

One dimensional team exposed again today. These guys just need to prepare to stop the run. Baker is in bottom 10% of qbs in this league. The Browns need to draft another qb this year.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Heres a guy I am watching this year. Seems a perfect fit for the AFC North IMO.

Our first pick needs to be a safety or a linebacker.

If Qb can be addressed adequetly via FA sure. But i am not seeing that happening. If you don’t have a QB that can beat pit and bal defenses then all the talent is meaningless at the other positions. And Baker….yikes.

Baker isn’t perfect, but this one isn’t on him. The coaches absolutely put him in a position to fail. He probably shouldn’t have even been on the field, with his injury. But even so the playcalls were a worst case scenario. Too many slow developing plays in a game where Pittsburgh had a pass rusher completely unblocked on almost every down.

I cannot believe there is even talk of replacing Baker. He’s on his what, 4th Oc in 3 years? And he’s got the team at 4-2. He set the rookie record for TD passes in 13.5 games.

One bad game against one of the best defenses in the league does not make him done. News flash, every QB has bad games. Every. Single. One.

The Browns fan base has to be the only one in the league that would consider benching their qb in this situation.

It’s about skill set growth: can he win game from the pocket or not? The Ravens and Steelers have showed us he can not, let alone be competitive.

    It’s just really that simple.

If his Alma mater had an S between OU, you wouldn’t be saying shit. It’s that simple.

He’s beaten the Ravens twice (would’ve been 3 times but the chick side judge cheated and ignored a tackle on Duke Johnson going out for a route on 3rd down). He’s beat the Steelers once. You don’t get to speak in absolutes in that case

For perspective, the Packers lost yesterday 38-10 to Tampa Bay. Aaron Rodgers, yes, THE Aaron Rodgers, was 16/35, for 160 yards with 2 picks. Worse than Baker.

Do you think anybody in Green Bay is freaking out? Overreacting to one game?

    Bad games happen. Relax.

    Gameballs:
Hollywood Higgins – Clutch TD catch. All he seems to do is catch TD’s and yet he doesn’t get playing time. Bonus points for not celebrating on the TD catch because it was like 24-7 at that point. He just went and sat on the bench with an angry expression.

Teller – Anyone else notice that he is the keystone to our entire offensive scheme? He was out yesterday and blocking went to shit and we couldn’t use our normal run plays employing a pulling guard.

Scottish Hammer – Have you ever tried kicking a ball 60 yards with a pulled groin?

    Goats:

Baker – What a shit day. Bad reads, bad decisions, bad throws.
O Line – Wills gets a goat. Tretter gets a goat. EVERYONE GETS A GOAT.
Sendejo – He made some very Sendejo plays out there again.
Hubbard and Conklin – It’s 4th and 4. The play call is that there is no play, Baker’s just gonna try to get the defense to jump offsides to get a cheap 1st down. Hard count. HUBBARD AND CONKLIN TOGETHER JUMP OFFSIDES HOLY SHIT I WANTED TO HIT SOMEONE FUCKING FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Snap count. Somehow someone on our team tipped it. Watt and Dupree came off the edge with the snap EVERY TIME. Clearly they knew the count

REALLY: Josh Allen went Wyoming, and the QB I brought up in thread is from Fla.

The only QB I have liked to come out of columbus as a 1st rounder also came out of LSU. And when he was at OSU I wanted him to start over Haskins who I though should be sitting.

So outside of Joe Burrow who are you refering to? Cardale Jones?, who I liked as a 3rd rounder as a developemental guy do to physical gifts?

    That would make sense.

I’d have guessed Wills, rookie learning a new position who gets praised for getting out of his stance quickly. Bryant would also be a strong possibility, would be interesting to see how often he was on the field when Baker got sacked.

If Teller gets one, Chubb gets a game ball as well.

Hunt is an elite running back. There’s a huge gap between Hunt and Chubb, who is an other-worldly game changer. All of those pass rusher would have been too tired to chase Baker around after trying to drag Nick down all day.

Ok lets amend it to “everyone who didn’t play in that game gets a gameball for not being associated with that shitshow.”

The entire team gets a goat. That includes players and coaching staff.

The offense sucked (Baker didn’t have time to throw and when he did, he threw it directly to a defensive player). After that, they started blitzing the hell out of him and the OL couldn’t stop nothing.

The defense played horrible. Sendejo wasn’t the only player to get burned. Ward was burnt a few times and Mitchell looked like he didn’t belong on the field since every play a receiver was behind him.

Wasn’t referencing a specific player. Just saying your biased against him as an OSU fan.

Don’t know you personally so I could be way off, but I live around a huge number of Browns/Buckeyes fans. And the vast majority of them still hold a grudge against Baker for planting the flag in Columbus.

The “too short” shit is complete bull shit. Kyler is fucking 5’4” and playing pretty well.
