AFC opponent and we are in a tight playoff race. Must win this game to stay in it. Help would be nice:

Pitt beats Baltimore on Thanksgiving they’d drop to 6-5.

    Falcons need to upset Raiders

Titans need to beat the Folts since we beat the Colts and own the breaker.

We need to be 8-3 going to play the Titans and Ravens the following weeks

Nice to be this far into the season and discussing playoffs instead of who we’ll draft in the first round huh.

Not at all a must win mathematically. With 3 wild card spots in the afc, I’d say 10-6 gets us in. And with the jets and giants on the schedule, a loss Sunday just means we have to win one from TEN-BAL-PIT, and the first 2 of those seem winnable.

HOWEVER, I don’t see how can lose to the 1-9 jags, and get the mentality of the team right to win the 3 games necessary. I think from a team moral/mentality standpoint, it’s absolutely a must win.

Also, Baker has to play well. If we play ball control and he doesn’t throw much, that’s fine. But after the last three games being hampered by bad weather, he HAS to throw the ball well when called upon to silence the critics and help the team stay focused moving forward.

Also also, the Ravens top 2 RBs just tested positive for Covid. I HATE being happy that the damn Steelers have an easier game, but this is definitely going to make it difficult for Baltimore to pull off the upset.

Jax is absolutely a must win. Conference game.

I disagree on Bakers critics. Team doesn’t care. Team is winning. He has to execute, but I’ll take 200 yards 0 TD 0 INT and a win over 400 yds 5 TDS 0 ints in a loss any day of the week. I hope the critics bash him through a Super Bowl victory

SO: the defense, running game and special teams need to win the game.

Baker just needs not lose the game with 0 TD and 0 Int?

Seems like thats a pretty harsh critque for a number 1 overall pick. Not that it is wrong.

    Lmao @ “must win”.

It absolutely is not. We “should” win. But it’s not a must win. If we lose, we’re not anywhere near close to being eliminated from the playoffs. We could lose and still not lose any ground on the spot we’re currently in, which if the season ended today, results in us in the playoffs.

    Lighten up Francis.

The Ravens have a MUCH softer remaining schedule then the Browns do IMO. So I am kind of in the midlle between you soup.

    Browns: @JAC, @TEN, BAL, @NYG, @NYJ, PIT

    Ravens: @Pit, DAL, @CLE, JAC, NYG, @CIN

The Ravens have more home games and more opponets with losing records remaining on their schedule.

So as weird as it sounds @JAC, @NYG, @NYJ, are must wins because you need to feast on the celler dwellers as the margin of error isn’t that great with the other 3. As the games with @TEN, BAK abd PIT are likely gonna be dog fights with playoff caliber teams.

We have to take the approach that coach Stefanski has instilled in this team and concentrate on each game as it comes, jax is all that this team is worried about this week then on to TENN. That said we take care of busness against the jags and feast non both N.Y. teams gets us to 10 wins, i”d love to steal one of the big three left on the schedual Tenn, Balt or Pitt to get to 11.

Remember when Matt Cassel went 11-5 and missed the playoffs? Remember when we went 10-6 and missed the playoffs? Jax is a must win game. If it comes down to conference win tie breakers (aka 2007 Raiders loss) we need to have it

0Td and 0 int doesn’t mean he didn’t help win the game. He’s completed several 3rd and longs in key TD drives this year. We are finally a run heavy team and we are winning and now everyone complains Mayfield isn’t throwing 50 times for 300 yards. How about stick to the formula and keep winning?

I remember when Big Ben came in and started his rookie year. Pretty much all he did was hand off and manage the game. As he progressed, their passing game opened up. He didn’t just come in and sling away. The Steelers were winning and I don’t remember hearing anybody complaining about his lack of passing yards. True, this is Baker’s third year, but first in this system after a ton of dysfunction his first two seasons. Barring a complete collapse, this will be our first winning season since 2007 and all a lot of Browns fans do is f’n bitch about Baker. Ridiculous. 7-3 and unhappy.

    This times a thousand. Russel Wilson as a rookie 393 attempts. Second year 407 attempts. 3rd year 452, 4th year 483, 5th year 546.

Big Ben – played out over a full 16 games would’ve been 357, 363 in his first 2 years. 6th year in the NFL before he threw 500 times in a season.

For more fun here’s his first 3 years:

    17 TD 11 int
    17 TD 9 int
    18 TD 23 int

Ben is a bust!!!! Get rid of him!!!

Baker Mayfield rookie 486 attempts, last year 534 attempts this year on pace for 424.

Let the guy stay in an offense that doesn’t chan he for 2 years in a row for once. One that doesn’t require him to throw

This game isn’t anywhere close to being a must win game. However, it is a game we should win that would make a lot of things a bit easier.

The only game on our schedule that seems impossible to win is the squealers. Every other team we play is beatable.

I like this link for playoff standings:
    https://www.espn.com/nfl/standings/_/view/playoff

I think only mentioning the rats schedule and comparing it to ours doesn’t even touch the surface. If you want to talk about playoff teams including us and compare schedules then you need to talk about the Colts/Titans (either could win division), Bills/Dolphins (again either could win division), rats and Raiders.

I didn’t include KC or PIT. Just going to say they win their divisions.
