If Miami goes 11-5
If Baltimore goes 11-5
If Tenn goes 11-5
If Indy goes 11-5Browns at 11-5 are out of the playoffs. That Baltimore loss could prove deadly. Now the only way we get in without help is at 12-4.
So must win the next 3, otherwise our destiny depends on other teams.

The Titans win the AFC south.
The Dolphins win the 5th seed via tiebreakers
The Ravens win the 6th seed via tiebreaker with the Colts.
The Browns win the 7th seed via head to head tiebreaker over the Colts. The only way the above keeps the Browns o it of the playoffs is if the Colts go 12-4 and win the division. The Titans would then win the 3-way tiebreaker over the Ravens and Browns, and we’d be out.
But it’s all irrelevant, because you’re worst case scenario is not going to happen, just like I told you we weren’t “in a bad way with the Raiders.”
December 19, 2020 at 8:30 pm #20178soupParticipantNope, I’m 100% correct. Once it hits a 3 team tie breaker it’s head to head to head kind of thing. It’s bizarre as hell and until Twitter this afternoon I thought the exact thing as you, however, with 3+ teams at 11-5 they’ve all essentially beat each other (We beat Tenn, but Tenn beat Balt who beat us) it’s really bizarre.
In a two team scenario, if Balt is removed from the equation we have the upper hand. If Balt goes 11-5 as well it goes haywire due to division/conference.

Titans win AFC via better division record than Colts. Colts, Browns, Ravens, and Dolphins are left for the 3 wildcard spots.
Wildcard Tiebreaker #1:
In three or more team tie, first only the best team from each division is considered. Browns are eliminated because of head-to-head lost to Ravens. From the Ravens, Colts, and Dolphins, Dolphins are awarded the 5th seed because they would be 8-4 in conference games (Ravens and Colts would both be 7-5)Wildcard Tiebreaker #2 (Browns, Ravens, Colts)
The formula resets each Tim’s, but again, only best team from each division is considered, Browns eliminated. Ravens have the head to head win over the Colts, and are awarded the 6th seed.Wildcard Tiebreaker #3 (Browns, Colts)
Browns have the head to head win over the Colts and are awarded the 7th seed.Like I said, I confirmed this using the espn playoff machine. This changes if the Colts go 12-4 instead of 11-5. In that case, the Titans, at 11-5, would win the wildcard #2 tiebreaker via their head to head win over the Ravens, and the Ravens would win the wildcard #3 tiebreaker over us.
December 19, 2020 at 10:08 pm #20182soupParticipantThat’s weird, because, as I said, I was in your thought mode. When I went to NYT I put in only those teams, our prospects dropped from 99% to 76%. I’m assuming there’s weird scenarios from other teams that have something to do with it

December 20, 2020 at 7:57 pm #20189MDP Sack AttackParticipantI’m getting some serious “trap game/upset” vibes from tonight’s game. Freddie was fantastic when his only responsibility was calling (someone else’s) plays. He really, really wants to beat us. Our secondary blows, which kinda hurts our advantage of going up against Colt.
We have to pound the rock tonight. And get after the quarterback.
