    Game balls:

Stefanski- after Monday night a team can suffer an emotional hangover. Stefanski prevented that in an absolute must win situation. A loss tonight would’ve put the Browns at #8 an looking in from the outside.

Mayfield- safe to say he was dialed in tonight

Nick Harris – 1st NFL game, 3rd string G. Great game.

Defense – after last week, getting 2 4th down stops was huge.

    Freddie Kitchens- for 6 points

    Goats:

Covid – for how bad it’s effected Garrett

    Freedom!!!

I’m giving props to DPJ for a 6th round pick he’s been huge for us as of late, Baker balled out tonight and the team as a whole did what they needed to do.

    Gameballs:

    Stefanski – Great gameplan
Baker 27/32 295 yds 2 TDs. I know of at least 2 incompletions that were throw aways and one could have been intentional grounding. Played a smart game. It is a completion percentage record for the Browns but the caveat is minimum 25 attempts…..

Because in 1993 Testeverde had a 91.3 completion percentage on a 21-of-23 performance against the Rams was a NFL record at the time

Higgins – Catches the ball. I hope they resign him.

The Offensive Line for pass protection. While Harris gave up one sack and the standard false start on Wills they kept Baker pretty clean.

Defense as a whole. Gave up a lot of field position but held the New York Football Giants out of the end zone.

Joe Judge (not Kitchens) because he went for it on 4th down twice and failed, it cost them 6 points.

    Goats:

Landry – How many times is he going to get an unsportsmanlike penalty after a catch and this one cost us a point. That extra point miss from 48 yards would have been good if not for the 15 yard penalty. Thankfully it didn’t come back to haunt us.

Parkey – Because he did miss the 48 yard extra point.

Side note: The Browns are the only team in the NFL this year to have 2 TD drives of 95 or more yards in a single game this year. The one drive was 14 plays and 95 yards (plus another 20 in penalty yards) and took 8:04 off the clock. That is ball control even without a great running game.

Three trips to the redzone and six points is the obvious outcome of Freddie and Colt teaming up.

    Gameballs

Colt McCoy – Still got a soft spot for him. His leg was almost torn off and he still came to play this year. All heart, all brain, no arm.

Kitchens – They seemed to be running pretty effectively against us, so naturally they went pass-happy with McCoy. Somewhere there is a NYG version of Soup who has lost his fucking mind.

Stefanski – Week 14 and we’re not talking about who will be the coach in 2021. I’m not even thinking about 2021, I’m thinking about playoffs. Holy shit.

Priefer – Remember 2 years ago when we had a penalty on every single special teams play? I don’t either. Shit is straight.

Stefanski’s playbook – We’re on their 5 yard line, goal to go. We come out with our jumbo group with 3 TE’s, Chubb, and 1 WR. Naturally the defense sends out their jumbo and takes all their coverage players off the field. We line up with all our big guys on the line looking like we’re gonna pound it home, which we totally can do because we’re good. Right before the snap, the RB splits out wide as do 2 of the TE’s. There’s no one that can come close to covering any of them. Touchdown.

Joe Judge – We just put up 42 points on the Ravens. He knew going in that FG’s weren’t going to get it done. I’d have wanted to be aggressive on 4th down too.

Higgins – Total 180 from last week (his only bad week this season). Great recovery. Hands like glue.

DPJ – He’s being what a good 6th round pick should be. He’s contributing whenever he’s called on and his future is bright.

    Goats:
Joe Thomas – For refusing to play just one snap with the Browns if we make the playoffs.

Baker Mayfield – Over the last 4 games he’s averaged over 300 yards passing, 2.5 TD’s per game, and only .25 INT’s per game. That’s more than efficient, that’s deadly. Why is that a goat? I just put it here so everyone would read those stats.
