This might be my favorite post of the year.
December 23, 2020 at 10:00 am #20220IceKeymasterI’d get Ogunjobi before anyone else on that list. I don’t think there’s a chance for us to resign Vernon but we need an edge rusher and that’s gonna be expensive no matter how we fill that hole. Hollywood Higgins has more value to us than any other team in the league. What makes him so valuable is his chemistry with Baker. He should resign here.
December 23, 2020 at 5:09 pm #20221MDP Sack AttackParticipantAre you sure this list is up to date? I thought Higgins signed an extension.

All I could find is that extension talks are ongoing and all that news was from 2 weeks ago. If you know something different it didn’t show up in my google search.

December 23, 2020 at 8:10 pm #20226MDP Sack AttackParticipantGotcha.
Well, Higgins and Obi are the no-brainers. Whatever he costs, Obi is worth it.
We should make a huge push for Vernon. I think it took dude a moment to hit his stride, but he’s been lights out for weeks now, arguably our best defender for the second half of the season. He’s probably playing his way out of our price range, but two elite defensive ends is worth starving ourselves elsewhere.
Mitchell, Joseph, and Johnson aren’t amazing, but they’re all solid depth who shouldn’t break the bank, and there’s no reason to create a bigger hole at a weak position. If we can upgrade, they can always get cut or traded down the road.
The rest, whatever.

December 24, 2020 at 8:09 pm #20231the dudeParticipantYea I thought Higgins already signed…
Hue Jackson is a loser.

Like I said. I haven’t seen that and went looking for it.

December 25, 2020 at 10:56 pm #20238BrownsFan4LifeParticipantSeen nothing on Higgins resigning. All I have seen was that they were talking about an extension. We do need to resign him though.
December 26, 2020 at 10:20 am #20240the dudeParticipantYea sorry preliminary talks…. I thought it was a done deal…. Just happened 2 weeks ago.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
December 26, 2020 at 12:31 pm #20242BrownsFan4LifeParticipantHiggins, Ogunjobi, Hodge, Vernon, Goodson, Joseph, Johnson, Lamb, and Gustin.
Of course it all depends on price, especially with the salary cap decreasing and some major extensions and raises in the near future.
December 27, 2020 at 3:08 pm #20281soupParticipantOn defense only Vernon and Goodson. The rest are god awful practice squad quality garbage.
Freedom!!!
