Unbelievably bad officiating. Our secondary couldn’t catch a break.
What the hell was with the play calling on that last drive? We needed big chunks of yards, we burnt out the clock dinking and dunking our way to 12 yards, and then launched up jump balls looking for penalty calls.

He’s absolutely horrible in key situations. He should not be calling plays.

You didn’t even criticize him for the correct call. There was NOTHING wrong with passing on 2nd down, assuming you’re talking about when there were 3 minutes left. The chargers had a couple timeouts, we needed a couple 1st downs to runout the clock. If they run there instead of passing, it changes NOTHING because LA just uses another timeout. They scored with a minute and a half left. It wasn’t a struggle for them.
The bad call was the draw on 3rd. After passing on 2nd, you’ve got to throw it on 3rd to try to get the 1st. You can’t expect a draw to pick up 10 yards. That call was, dare I say, Kitchensian.
Stefanski is 15-8 (including playoffs) as a head coach and play caller. Sure, he has a share of blame in yesterday’s loss. He also has a share of credit for those 15 wins.
Just for reference, Stefanksi would have to lose the next 162 games to have the same winning percentage as Hue Jackson.
Soup has never said anyone is a good player caller. You could win the super bowl and unless you run the ball 30+ times a game in a passing league, you are terrible.
