KeymasterJust from the eyeball test it APPEARED to me that we blitzed more often yesterday than in the first game, especially after Lamar exited the game. Maybe someone can check the stats on that.
Soup I’m surprised you’re taking Baker’s side on this. When he complains about conservative playcalling in the 2nd half he’s complaining that we ran the ball too much. Running the ball too much gives you a woody.

I totally disagree with that! He had quite a few deep throws, including two that got PI penalties IIRC.

two that got PI penalties IIRC.Sorry, my reference is too conservative in half 2. All the shots were taken in half 1. He flipped plans to prevent offense and prevent defense.

Up by 3 scores at the start of the 2nd half; I’d want the offense to play ‘more conservatively’. Ball control. Clock control. More running plays, and short ‘safe’ passing plays. It should still generate points even if they’re FG’s, and we need to find out why they didn’t.
