Keenan Allen had 4 receptions for 72 yards with a touchdown.

Bademosi also matched Haden’s season with penalties with a facemask and a pass interference.

The final kick of the game was missed, but williams was offsides – a position that Joe Haden would have normally filled.

3 penalties and 1 direct penalty that resulted in a loss.

So Soup, I guess you are wrong, yet again.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

I completely agree. You don’t take a guy like Haden off the field (and put Bademosi on) and not see an effect. Haden had a couple bad weeks but he’s asked to do one of the hardest tasks in professional sports; take on the NFL’s best receivers 1 on 1. Our defensive scheme is dependent on the CB’s taking on receivers in man coverage, freeing up linebackers to pressure the QB or cover the run. Clearly all of that is working like a charm.

Yeah, Rivers sure missed him on the field. 136 yards to a rookie. 2 TDs allowed in 3 games already. Abused by rookies and old people. FYI – Cooper played against no names on the Bears — 4 catches for 49 yards. The TD to Allen was indefensible. That was a perfect throw. Corners in the top 10 are the most wasted pick in a draft followed by LBers.

    — The duel of cornerback Joe Haden (-2.7) and wide receiver Amari Cooper was one of the more anticipated aspects of yesterday’s game. While Cooper may still be a rookie he won the matchup, and it wasn’t close. Haden allowed a reception on all six targets when he was in coverage on Cooper. Overall, [Haden] gave up 87 yards and also missed two tackles on the former Alabama standout. Derek Carr had a passer rating of 118.8 when targeting Haden, which is tied for the highest figure on the Browns defense.

    – WR Brandon Marshall (+2.0) has the talent to be considered amongst the best receivers in the game, he just doesn’t produce often enough. That talent was on display against the Browns as he dominated CB Joe Haden (-2.6). When Haden was covering him, he caught all five targets for 56 yards and a score,

Haden is not listed vs. Tenn anywhere (including top 5 Browns performers)

No, Haden was not missed other than by the opposing QB as an easy target. In the 2 games where Haden is mentioned – opposing WR they talk about are 11-11 against him. AKA 100% completion %.

I have no clue what you are rambling about but lets focus here. The TD was no indefensible. Our current scheme is setup for man to man coverage. If we had help on this route, it would never have happened. I am not saying it is bademosi’s fault, but I am saying that you need to lay off Haden because he would have had the same coverage and here was are you would have ranted about 3 td’s in 4 games.

Picking bad players in the top 10 is a waste of a pick. There are plenty of positional players in CB and LB that have been excellent picks.

The Browns should be embarrassed right now on the past 2 drafts – specifically with first rounders. Shelton is the only solid pick in the last 2 first rounds and we have had 4 picks. what a waste. absolute waste.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

@soup when we drafted Haden you echoed many of the same sentiments. A couple seasons later you admitted you were dead wrong and that Haden was absolutely worth the pick. Are you now saying that you were dead wrong again? I’m just trying to keep up with the flip-flopping.

Yet you agree the guy who allowed 11 catches of 11 targets of opponents number 1 WR in 2 of 3 games (no data on the other game showing either way) would’ve made a positive difference in the game? Think about that for a moment.

So if Haden starts playing well again are you going to again recant your current recanting of your previous recant?

What you’re missing is that Haden limited the WR’s he was covering over 2 games to just 11 catches. How many times did the QB have to hit his 2nd or 3rd option because Haden was locked on his receiver? He’s asked to cover guys 1 on 1. Yet he held Brandon Marshall to just 62 yards. He shut down every receiver he was matched up against with the Titans. Yeah Amari Cooper torched him (Haden broke a rib AND a finger in that game). Every CB has at least one bad game a year. Let’s hope that’s it and that when the injury heals he’s back to normal.

Are you serious Clark? He was rated as AWFUL by PFF in those games. It’s not often guys get 7+ catches a game. Carr had a 118 rating throwing at him. 100% completion is unacceptable when looking at 11 targets. 2 to 3 catches you’d have a point. 11, no.
