ParticipantWUNKLE’S PICKS FOR WEEK 5
Well, I didn’t fare quite so well last week; but I’ll take 22-8 over two weeks. Hopefully I can keep the wins in double digits. With that said, here are my picks for week five of the NFL season.
Indianapolis at Houston: JJ Watt is without question the best player on the field in this game. The only thing is, he’s a defensive end and not a quarterback. Latest official injury report has both Andrew Luck and Matt Hasselbeck listed as questionable. When it’s all said and done, at least one of the two will suit up and start – leading his team to victory. Final score: Colts 24 – Texans 17.
Washington at Atlanta: The winning continues in the ATL. Final score: Falcons 24 – Redskins 13.
Cleveland at Baltimore: The Browns are reeling (yet again) after a West coast road loss and the Ravens are rested after a Thursday night win at Pittsburgh. Final score: Ravens 20 – Browns 16.
Seattle at Cincinnati: This is the Bengals best shot at getting their first loss yet. However, the Seahawks will be in for a let down after a short week playing the Lions Monday night. The roll continues for Cincinnati in a close one. Final score: Bengals 24 – Seahawks 20.
St. Louis at Green Bay: The Rams defense is good, but it won’t be good enough; nor will their offense be enough on the not yet frozen tundra. Final score: Packers 31 – Rams 13.
Chicago at Kansas City: Da’-Bears got a much needed win last week, but it’s back to their losing ways in barbecue heaven. The Chiefs win going away. Final score: Chiefs 24 – Bears 13.
New Orleans at Philadelphia: Drew Brees is back, but I’ve just got a feeling that he won’t be able to work enough magic to get a road win this week. Final score: Eagles 20 – Saints 17.
Jacksonville at Tampa Bay: This game will be so ugly that prison inmates will request not watching it. Jameis Winston will do just enough to win the game. Final score: Bucs 12 – Jaguars 9.
Arizona at Detroit: Both teams are fuming coming off last week’s losses for different reasons. Detroit is coming off a short week and the home crowd won’t be enough of a factor to get the Motor City a win. Final score: Cardinals 24 – Lions 20.
New England at Dallas: Tom Brady is Tom Brady and Brandon Weeden is still Brandon Weeden. Need I say anything more? Final score: Patriots 27 – Cowboys 13.
Denver at Oakland: Derek Carr is making progress as a starting QB, but Raider Nation is not going up against the Cleveland Browns this week. By the way, Peyton Manning is still Peyton freaking Manning. Final score: Broncos 27 – Raiders 20.
San Francisco at New York Giants: The 49ers are another team that’s reeling with apparently no relief in sight. The G-Men are finding their way through the abyss that is the NFC East. Final score: Giants 20 – 49ers 13.
Pittsburgh at San Diego: The Steelers have the opportunity to right the ship after last week’s Thursday night loss at home to Baltimore. They’re rested and torqued off enough to right the ship. Final score: Steelers 24 – Chargers 17.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

Keymaster16 points is not a common score. You thinking we have a TD and 3 FG’s?

ParticipantThat was the thinking. Hey, I’ll be glad to be wrong if it means the Browns win. I just can’t pick them consistently.
