    Bitter Browns Fan game 5

    Game #5 against the Ravens.

I must say, I’m not as bitter this week. As much as I loathe the fact we are averse to the run, it’s impossible to argue with McCown’s production. Personally I’d dump a few of those WR screens for runs instead but that’s just me.

With this victory against the thieves, let’s start off with the GREAT.

Josh McCown. 51 throws and only 4 sacks taken (that’s 2 games worth of throws there). 70.5% completion – that’s absurd on 51 throws when you take into account his YPA was 9. 3 TDs (2 passing and 1 rushing) and NO TURNOVERS!

Gary Barnadge – are you serious Clark? Catching a TD with your legs? Right now he’s the 2nd best TE in the entire NFL to Gronk. Go ahead, attempt to argue that with me. 8 catches for 139 yards.

The combo of Duke Johnson and The Crow. They’ve had no run lanes to work in and fight for every yard. Crow’s effort on the TD post reception was fantastic.

Travis Coons – 4 for 4 in FG’s including the game winner in OT.

Mike Pettine – when the camera pannd to you after the D forced a 3 and out in OT – your dumbfounded look of “Seriously? This garbage D got a 3 and out in OT?” was priceless. And for making Dwayne Bowe inactive again.

    The bad

Joe Haden – got destroyed again on all except for 1 underthrown ball. After h went out for injury Flacco completed only 1 pass. It went to a RB.

Our OLB corps. Just beyond terrible. Worst in the NFL by far. Nate Orchard couldn’t rush a fraternity let alone a QB. Meanwhile, the guy moron Farmer replaced named Jabaal Sheard got 2 more sacks yesterday for 4 on the season. If you wonder why Kruger sucks it’s because he always has and Sheard isn’t pushing the sack his way this year.

Jordan Poyer – took the worst angle ever on Foresetts 32 yard reception with under 2 minutes remaining in the game. Just pathetic.

Run defense – there is none. On the drive to reclaim the lead Baltimore ran every play but 1 – that 1 was incomplete.

The officials. This was beyond 1 sided. Throwing the flag on Coons – who’s eyes were closed and he barely touched the runner – was absurd. Especially considering on Cleveland’s earlier drive Duke Johnson was leveled 5 yards out of bounds with no call. Later in the game (thankfully the Browns scored anyway) Baltimore got away with 3 personal fouls including spearing Barnadge well after he was on the ground. Finally, Williams “personal foul” was the biggest bullshit in the NFL yesterday. It was a bang bang play. If Flacco throws it on target he dislodges it. He can’t wait for the guy to make the catch. The hit was CLEAN. Never left his feet.

Mike Pettine – at the end of regulation with 3 timeouts left completely botched time management. Had potential for a regulation win had he used them properly instead of waiting until there were 34 seconds left (let 40 seconds run off the clock).

Felt great to get this win. This defense is the worst I’ve ever seen. When you remove Flacco’s 2 1 yard runs – the RB’s averaged 6.2 YPC (even with Flacco’s runs it was 5.8 YPC).

    Facing Peyton Manning next week.

    Broncos 51 – Browns 27

And when you do that you completely invalidate the statistics… hence souptistics.

The end zone stopped him on one and the other was a scramble. Had I removed 1 yard runs by the RB you’d have a point
