    WUNKLE’S PICKS FOR WEEK EIGHT

Happy Thursday everybody! After going 10-4 last week, my season record improves to 52-18. With a little luck, maybe the momentum will keep building. So here are Wunkle’s picks for week eight.

Miami at New England: Interim Head Coach Dan Campbell seems to have righted the ship in his first two weeks on the job. However, the Fins aren’t playing the Titans or Texans this week and they’re on the road. Final score: Patriots 31 – Dolphins 27.

Detroit at Kansas City: Two terrible teams with no guarantee of a winner. Final Score: Chiefs 13 – Lions 10.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta: The Falcons will eventually lose their second game of the season; just not this week. Final Score: Falcons 30 – Buccaneers 13.

San Diego at Baltimore: I seldom favor a West coast team that travels to the Eastern Time Zone. This game is no exception. Final score: Ravens 27 – Chargers 24.

Arizona at Cleveland: Josh McCown has been playing his butt off, but it still won’t get him another win because the supporting cast is pathetic. Final score: Cardinals 31 – Browns 13.

Tennessee at Houston: The Texans are in such disarray that I almost picked the Titans on this one; but they’re at home and that counts for something. Final score: Texans 24 – Titans 16.

New York Giants at New Orleans: Eli Manning will keep this a close game, but the Saints will prevail at home. Final score: Saints 34 – Giants 30.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh: The Bengals’ hot streak will continue as they eek out a close one on the road. Final score: Bengals 31 – Steelers 27.

San Francisco at St. Louis: The Rams D will make at least one big play; whether a key pick late or QB sack – maybe both. Final score: Rams 24 – 49ers 17.

New York Jets at Oakland: This one will be a classic head-knocker. Quite frankly, I like Derek Carr (should be a Brown – still pissed at Ray Farmer over that) more than Ryan Fitzpatrick. Final score: Raiders 27 – Jets 24.

Seattle at Dallas: Beast Mode will take over and the Cowboys will continue their downward spiral. Final score: Seahawks 24 – Cowboys 13.

Green Bay at Denver: Peyton Manning will need to make a big play in order to pull this one out of a hat, but he won’t be able to against the Packers D. And one more thing . . . Aaron Rodgers is a pretty good QB in his own right. Final score: Packers 31 – Broncos 27.

Indianapolis at Carolina: Andrew Luck’s struggles will continue as the Panthers continue to flex their muscles on both sides of the football. Final score: Panthers 34 – Colts 16.

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!
