Now what???
I wish I were surprised at the outcome of last night’s game. I wish I was outraged by the blocked field goal touchdown that ended the game in the Raven’s favor. I just can’t bring myself to have those emotions anymore because I’m not surprised at all. I expected it to happen and honestly the Ravens deserved to win that game. They played hard, they fought with emotion. The Browns looked like they had already lost by the end of the 1st quarter. There were notable exceptions; Gipson, McCown, Gilbert, Barnidge and Dansby were doing their best to win. Two of those players, McCown and Gilbert, fought so hard that they put their bodies on the line for the game. The rest of the team was mailing it in.
Austin Davis filled in for McCown and played better than I expected right up until the final series where he seemed to think his job was to run the clock out instead of putting us into field goal position. He may get another look next week as McCown is likely done for the year. Or the coaches can start Manziel. Whatever.
Punter Andy Lee was again awesome. There’s your positive outlook.

Hue Jackson is a loser.

December 1, 2015 at 6:06 pm #2914IceKeymasterSeeing Gilbert put it all on the line was a nice change. I’m not saying he’s good or even worthy of a roster spot, but it was nice to see him put in 100% effort.

Also, I had no idea Benji was in a contract year. So that kinda dampens the glow of his “breakout” year.

Current President Alec Scheiner will need to make a lateral move to be in charge of the business side of the organization. With Spielman in charge of football operations, he will hire the head coach and revamp the scouting department. PROBLEM SOLVED.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!
