    WUNKLE’S PICKS FOR WEEK 15

And the fizzle continues for at least one more week, as I was able to only go 9-7 for last week’s games. That brings my overall record to 106-66 for a 61.63 winning percentage. So, with that said, here are this week’s picks.

Tampa Bay at St. Louis: If this game were being played in Tampa, I’d feel a lot better about this one. The Bucs have the better QB and the Rams have the better defense and running game. However, If the Bucs continually put 8 or 9 in the box, I can’t see the Rams QB – whoever they play – making the Bucs pay for it consistently. Final score: Bucs 23 – Rams 16.

NY Jets at Dallas: I’ve got a lot more confidence in Ryan Fitzpatrick making a play than I do Matt Cassel. Combine that with the fact that the Cowboys D has more holes in it that a head of Swiss cheese and the Jets get a road win. Final score: Jets 31 – Cowboys 23.

Kansas City at Baltimore: I normally hate taking a Western conference team going East. However, the Ravens are that bad as they’re still a walking M*A*S*H unit. Combine that with how the Chiefs D is playing and it’s a road win for Andy Reid and company. Final score: Chiefs 24 – Ravens 10.

Houston at Indianapolis: The starting QB’s for this game are projected to be Charlie Whitehurst and TJ Yates. That said, I’m going with the team that has the best defense. Final score from Indy: Texans  20 – Colts 13 if Whitehurst starts. If Matt Hasselbeck starts, then I’ll say Colts 23 – Texans 20.

Atlanta at Jacksonville: The Falcons continue their December swoon. Final score: Jaguars 24 – Falcons 17.

Chicago at Minnesota: The Vikings have something to play for and the Bears don’t. Final score: Vikings 24 – Bears 16.

Tennessee at New England: Tom Brady is still Tom Freaking Brady. Final score: Patriots 31 – Titans 13.

Carolina at NY Giants: I know that the G-men are at home, but I’ve got to go with the team that’s looking for its own place in NFL history. Final score: Panthers 24 – Giants 20.

Buffalo at Washington: The Skins are very tough at home. Final score: Redskins 24 – Bills 20.

Green Bay at Oakland: I know that Khalil Mack is a holy terror on defense, but I’ll go with Aaron Rodgers to lead the Packers to a road win. Final score: Packers 27 – Raiders 23.

Cleveland at Seattle: Johnny Manziel gets to  go up against a legitimate NFL defense, and the results will not be pretty. Final score: Seahawks 34 – Browns 13.

Denver at Pittsburgh: I know the Broncos are on the road going East, but really hate the Steelers with an unbridled passion. Final score: Broncos 31 – Steelers 27.

Miami at San Diego: The Browns really need the Chargers to win this one. Final score: Chargers 20 – Dolphins 16.

Cincinnati at San Francisco: Andy Dalton is out for at least the rest of the season. Final score: Bengals 24 – 49ers 6.

Arizona at Philadelphia: Talent wins out in spite of the East coast road trip. Final score: Cardinals 27 – Eagles 20.

Detroit at New Orleans: Drew Brees goes crazy on the stat sheet. Final score: Saints 30 – Lions 17.

Well, those are my takes. I’d love to read yours. Let me know what you think.

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!
