ParticipantWUNKLE’S PICKS FOR WEEK 16
After bouncing back with a 12-4 record for the week (would’ve been 13-3 had I not added a caveat with the Houston/Indianapolis game), Wunkle’s 2015 regular season record improves to 118-70 for a 66.3 winning percentage. This week’s picks has its share of challenges with so many divisional games with playoff spots on the line. With that said, here are this week’s picks.
San Diego at Oakland: The Chargers shot their last wad last week and the Raiders are simply the better team playing at home. Final score: Raiders 31 – Chargers 17.
Washington at Philadelphia: As wacky as this division has been this season, I really ought to go with the home team, but I won’t. Final score: Redskins 27 – Eagles 24.
Carolina at Atlanta: The swoon continues for the dirty birds as the Panthers are on a mission. Final score: Panthers 31 – Falcons 20.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore: This is the matchup where I always root for attrition. Final score: Steelers 34 – Ravens17.
Dallas at Buffalo: I really don’t give a rat’s tail who wins this game, but I have to pick a winner. Final score: Bills 24 – Cowboys 16.
San Francisco at Detroit: Yes, the 49ers are so bad that they’ll lose to Detroit. Final score: Lions 31 – 49ers 13.
Cleveland at Kansas City: Travis Benjamin could return 2 punts for TD’s and Cleveland would still lose by double digits on the road. Final score: Chiefs 31 – Browns 10.
Indianapolis at Miami: The Colts are a mess and they’re on the road. Final score: Dolphins 24 – Colts 20.
New England at NY Jets: As battered and bruised as the Patriots are, they’re still better than the Jets because of the QB position. Final score: Patriots 31 – Jets 23.
Chicago at Tampa Bay: I’ll take the home team on this one just because I can. Final score: Bucs 23 – Bears 20.
Houston at Tennessee: I can’t believe that I’m going with the team that’s starting Brandon Weeden. This one may come back to bite me in the buttocks. Maybe JJ Watt will deflect a pass at the line and return it for a pick 6. Final score: Texans 23 – Titans 16.
Jacksonville at New Orleans: Both teams are 5-9, but the Saints are much better at home. Final score: Saints 31 – Jaguars 24.
Green Bay at Arizona: I just like the Cards at home on this one. Final score: Cardinals 34 – Packers 31 in a barn burner.
St. Louis at Seattle: In a game that will be hotly contested, I like the Seahawks at home. Final score: Seahawks 24 – Rams 17.
NY Giants at Minnesota: Without Odell Beckham Jr., I give the G-men zero chance on the road. Final score: Vikings 31 – Giants 20.
Cincinnati at Denver: The Bengals defense will find a way to keep the team in the game, but Denver’s D will likely get a deciding pick 6. Final score: Broncos 31 – Bengals 24.
Well, those are my takes. Let me know what you think.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!
