John DeFilippo, Kevin O’Connell, Kevin Hafley, and Aaron Glenn have been invited by management to continue their employment. Which should make any HC we’re trying to hire thrilled. Head coaches LOVE coming to a new team and not being able to choose their own staff. [/sarcasm]

I think we can all agree that Flip (OC) and O’Connell (QB coach) overachieved this season. I had very low expectations for both the QB’s and offense, but these guys had Josh Freaking McCown throwing for over 350 yards 3 games in a row and setting Browns records.

I’m confused that they’re keeping Hafley (Secondary Coach) and Glenn (Asst. DB coach). Apparently they thought those areas were so exceptionally coached that they should also be invited to stay. Granted Haden was injured most of the year but I didn’t see our DB’s as anything special this season.

DC O’neil and ST Coach Tabor were invited to NOT return.

This is common. When they get a new coach – that coach is TYPICALLY given the chance to keep his own staff. But if the new coach likes those guys – then he’ll be able to keep them (assuming they haven’t interviewed elsewhere to take a job)

It isn’t up to the coach those Ice. The two yahoos are making their own agenda – they will place all the positions and their roles. If you do not meet their expectations in which they will be the direct reports, then you will be relieved of your duty.

    BrownsCorp at its finest.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

So now they’re going to dictate who the new head coach’s staff is going to be too?

I bet that Adam Gase interview lasted about 4 minutes lol.

    What a fuckin shitshow.

Screw Gase. Wouldn’t even interview with us last year. I hope they scheduled an interview for him just to tell him no thanks.

Dolphins fans are less than impressed…..some of the first words out of his mouth was how he loves Nick Saban…..I am sure that wasn’t the best thing to say.

I know some die hard Phins fans. They aren’t making judgment on Gase until he hires his OC/DC
