    From her recent article:

If the Browns determine that Cal quarterback Jared Goff is their man, they should definitely trade up to No. 1 to get him. The Titans, who have Marcus Mariota, have said they’re willing to deal the pick, and the Browns should not let someone leapfrog them and snatch him away. Speculation is that the Cowboys at No. 4 might have their eye on the top pick. But with the No. 2 overall selection, the Browns should have better bargaining power than most teams. I would give the Titans whatever it takes to get him. The Browns also have the No. 32 overall pick. Throw that in and something else if necessary. The Browns are going nowhere until they have a championship-caliber quarterback and they have to do whatever it takes to get him.

Mary Kay Cabot thinks the Browns should absolutely trade up to the first overall pick, and should offer our 2nd rounder and more to move up. Agree?

    • Yes. We need to give up whatever it takes to get the best QB. (0%, 0 Votes)
    • Barely. Moving up one spot for our 2nd round pick is the right price and the right move. (0%, 0 Votes)
    • Not at that price. It'd be good to move up but not at that cost. (20%, 1 Votes)
    • Heck no. We'll get who we need with the 2nd overall pick. Chances of the Titans trading out of their pick are slim. (80%, 4 Votes)

Take the best we can get at 2 and 32….

I am over getting burned by trading around the first round.

World Champion 1920 Akron Pros still undefeated!

I don’t think we need to, but like I said in another thread I’m worried we’ll get psyched into doing so. Especially with the inexperience in our front office.

I am over picking bad players…..if goff is not there, we draft bosa….you cannot lose with that pick.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Personally I think Mary Kay is way off on this one. If it was a Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck then I’d absolutely say we should trade up. This is Jared Goff, and it’s January.

I’d be more inclined to trade back within the top 5 as this team needs a talent injection BAD.

Hopefully we don’t do something dumb like trade back.

You should qualify that remark Soup. For the right price I’d absolutely trade back. Dallas gives us their 2017 and 2018 1st round pick, I’ll absolutely swap picks with them this year. Hell, I’d even throw in Manziel.

No need to qualify it. It’s time to pick players – not picks. Picks don’t win games – players do. After Richardson/Weeden, Gilbert/Manziel, Thomas/Quinn – I’m sick of it – 2 1st round picks are meaningless when you hit on 1 out of 6. No need for more picks – the need is for more HIGH QUALITY FOOTBALL PLAYERS.

#1, I agree with Soup. (It just feels so weird to type that, my fingers even start t lock up)

#2 Mary K is insane. Unless they want to let us move up just to do it and be nice, screw that idea it’s just wasting picks that this team cannot afford in any way to do. We all know that moving in to the #1 spot takes a kings ransom and then some, and who is going to pay that? Is Goff worth a 1st rounder? Probably. Is he worth 3 1st rounders and a 2nd? Hell no. 3 1st rounders? Hell no. 2 1sts and 2 2nds? Hell no.

No team that is need of a QB is going to mortgage their future to get to Goff. They all saw Washington get torched by doing it for RG3 (even if they were all secretly celebrating and laughing about it at the time, the lesson was still learned).

If, if by some crazy Jerry Jones insanity-laden chance a team does actually do it, so what. Draft Bosa, move on.

Mary Kay Cabot quoted Sashi Brown around 6 o clock in a tweet saying it would be “shocking if we traded up to #1, more likely we trade down

Make that what you will in silly season but that’s the quote.
