Wanna know why he’s about to get paid?
Von Miller. After having a bad game vs. Schwartz, it gets translated to “best RT in the league”. That, and a site called “Pro Football Focus”. Supposedly they record all kinds of stats, and suddenly they’re the leading force on how good a player is.
I tend to agree. And I’ll go a step further, it’s not just Scwhartz. We hear it constantly.
Mack, one of the best centers in the league. Schwartz, one of the best right tackles in the league. Joel Bitonio, one of the best guards in the league. Jo Thomas, best left tackle in the league.
We all hear it constantly. Well, those guys all played like total stiffs last year. If I’m not mistaken, we couldn’t run the ball for shit, and as usual, our QB was under constant duress. According to many, we had one of the best lines in the league if you listen to them break down the players individually, with our only weakness being at right guard.
Did you guys see that? I know I didn’t.
I don’t think the Browns have the “best” of anything in the league besides rotation of QB’s and lame draft picks.
I think Schwartz is pretty solid and to be honest, I think it will really be sad to see him go as I think he was not the problem. I am really afraid how bad off we are going to be with Cam Erving at center.
Whether you like it or not, we will truly see what our offensive line was like last year moving forward. I don’t think we will be in a better spot and to be frank, at this point drafting a qb will just keep the cycle going. We need to draft the best players available in this draft. If Bosa is available, you draft him. We will continue to be bad trying to fill voids with what the Browns scouting department (or owners energetic decision making) keep on saying. We have so many voids that you MUST draft the best talent. This is the only way we will get people to want to play in Cleveland.
Drafting a QB with our first pick will not be good for this franchise.
