What a fucking sheep. He hates cops so much he thinks they should be murdered? This kid is so ignorant. No matter where you stand on Black Lives Matter, saying that anyone who wears a uniform deserves to die is offensive and puts him in the same category as the asshole who murdered cops in Dallas. That’s who he’s siding with.

I don’t know what we should do with him. I’m at a loss.

OK, before everyone goes into the “this person is right!” “No, this person is!”…I want to point out a couple of things.

First, that was posted after the second shooting last week, but before the incident in Dallas. A lot of people seem to have pushed that little fact to the background.

Second, this is a 23 year old kid who has an emotional response to two terrible incidents that has since escalated to the terrible incident in Dallas…and he did it in the very worst possible place- social media.

Now, being an athlete, making all that money…he should be holding himself to higher standards. And maybe, normally, he does. But the fact is that he didn’t. And they aren’t totally letting him off the hook for it.

That said, everybody has an opinion. His only fault was sharing his on social media (and did so before the brutal murders in Dallas). Think about it- you’re about ready to fire a kid because he shared, had an emotional response, and the media is gonna stoke the flames of this as much as possible. Even the Cleveland police are ready to crucify him.

Over social media. Social. Fucking. Media.

Yeah I hear that DPD, but here’s the main issue: He put it out there that his opinion on the matter was the execution of police officers.

It doesn’t matter where he put it. Whether posting a picture on social media or holding a press conference where he looks in a camera and says “cops should have their throats cut”, he willfully and rather graphically condoned the execution of people.

If Joe Thomas posted a picture of a black guy hanging from a tree with the caption “black lives matter”, then took it down a few minutes later, how do you think that would go over? What if his apology was “I was emotional and it was in the heat of the moment, sorry”? How do you think pubic reaction to that would be?

I agree he made a mistake, but yes, I think that it was a damning one. This is a pretty big deal. It’s not like when Riley Cooper dropped an N-bomb. Whether he was emotional or not, recanted, and apologized profusely (which he didn’t, he let the browns PR department write one for him, itself a big deal), he still expressed a desire for police to be brutally executed.

That doesn’t go away with an “I’m sorry”.

Without getting into the details, it’s safe to day that Isaiah Crowell came to Cleveland as an undrafted rookie free agent with an already checkered past. You would think that – after seeing his draft stock spiral uncontrollably beyond the seventh round – he’d get a freaking clue that there are consequences for the choices that you make and the actions you take. This is not a black thing or a white thing. This is about a pattern of behavior involving incredibly stupid decision making.

Had any of us posted that on social media, we would’ve been fired on the spot. Just because he’s a professional athlete, we’re supposed to cut him some slack? Are you out of your F***ING mind?!!!!!

I understand that Crowell has already announced that he’s donating his first game check to support the families of the five fallen Dallas Police officers. However, I’m not convinced that Crowell truly gets it. The fact that the Browns still have this person on their payroll is nothing short of a disgrace. Perhaps they’re waiting to cut him AFTER he donates that first game check. One can only hope.

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

The first amendment is a double edged sword. I fully support his right to post that offensive picture without worrying about any prosecution from the government. However that freedom also means that he has to take responsibility for his action and suffer the consequences in the marketplace. He has just lowered his value on the open market. He is now less valuable as an asset to a team than he was a week ago. That’s freedom. That’s why he’s donating a game check.

A game check doesn’t solve the problem. He still doesn’t understand police, or probably even why what he did is wrong. I’d like to see him go on ride-along’s for a week. See what cops see and how difficult their job is. Then if he doesn’t like what he sees maybe he can propose solutions instead of just adding fuel to the fire.

You are a representative of your company. You are allowed to have freedom of speech, but your employer may also terminate you. Plain and simple, anyone on this board posts this and you will most likely be fired.

I wish the Browns would cut him today. I cannot support a player who is encouraging violence to the ones who protect us.

If I am Cleveland Police, I refuse to work with them until Crowell is relieved of his duty.

Not one penny of mine will go to the Cleveland Browns directly until they get rid of this lunatic.

All of everyone’s anger is being completely misdirected. Your focus should not be Crowell, it should be the media and the government.

The media writes sensationalism articles with no basis in facts with willful intent to start riots. It’s always “white cop kills black man” where the cop is painted as a killer and the black man is painted as innocent. A fact the media won’t tell you is in the recent shootings one of them was done by a Latino cop. Media swept that under the rug and caused 12 people to get shot in Dallas by a guy wanting to kill white cops.

Media also refuses to present facts. This causes blind sheep activists to assume cop = guilty and black guy shot = model citizen. Fact is, no one in the media knows what happened because the facts aren’t all out yet. We k ow the guy in front of the store had cops called on him because he flashed an illegal gun at a citizen. So he was armed. We also know he resisted the police rather than comply. All the facts may prove that the cops murdered him, or they may prove they acted in the right. We don’t know.

As for the government, it’s simple marketing. Make police cars bright pink so they are easy to spot and flag down if you need help. Stop with the bulls hit speed traps and unmarked cars used to stalk and pull people over. Maybe people wouldn’t be so frightened by them.

    Freedom!!!

I am not blaming anyone but the person who put the twitter picture up. Age is no excuse for an adult posting pictures of what appears to be slitting a cops throat.

Kids look up to him. Quit pointing the fingers at anyone – cut him now.

I teach my kids not to look up to celebrities just because they are famous. Just about every single Disney star ends up in jail or becoming a dirty dirty slut. I teach them to make people earn their respect and just being on TV is not enough for that. Kids should stop looking up to him, what has he done to earn their respect? Football players who are awesome in their community do earn it, like Warrick Dunn. He’s a role model. Crowell is just a guy I root for on Sundays not a guy to look up to.

Its a fine line….Josh Cribbs was a superstar for the city and pretty good one the field….Braylon Edwards was a superstar for the city, but then again was a party animal who was not a role model.

My point is about the limelight. Whether you are a politician, a football player, or a celebrity on the local news, people sit in their homes and watch you – they watch everything about you. They fall in love with you and then they SOUP you. This is why I believe this guy should be let go.
