With both Kessler and McCown active, Hue has chosen to move forward with the rookie.

If you only watched the first half of the game last week, you’re probably screaming “WTF!!!” but if you saw the second half you are probably happy with that decision.

Good – smart move. Far better at the position and more importnatly far better to play him and gauge whether or not we need to draft another guy. IMO he’s te real deal and we don’t need to. But that tiem of year is coming up where we really find out – bad weather.

    Kessler 66.9% completion 7.1 YPA 4 TDs and 1 int 94.5 rating – – 23 years old
    McCown 55% completion 7.3 YPA 4 TDs and 4 ints and a 74.3 rating – – 37 years old

    And side note:

Kessler has a higher rating than Wentz
Kessler has a higher QBR than Wentz (which is the newer rating that gauges the overall effect a QB has on the teams offense)
Kessler has a higher completion % than Wentz
Kessler has higher YPA than wentz

I know some idiot is going to say “Wentz has 4 wins and Kessler has none.” So here’s my reply.

Eagles defense in 4 wins – points allowed:

    10
    14
    3
    10

In losses Eagles defense points allowed:

    24
    27
    29

Lowest point total all year allowed by the Browns defense:

    25

Can we end the idiocy that passing on Wentz was a bad idea? A 3rd round rookie on a shitty team is outperforming him.

    Freedom!!!

    Calm down there Joe Buck.

This is nothing more than a simple, basic decision. McCown is a known commodity in a lost season. Kessler needs all the reps he can get so that he can be properly assessed and evaluated over the offseason so the team can make a solid decision on which way to go at the position in the future.
