ShooterModeratorI dunno.
I mean, it’s impossible to disprove the possibility. Is it possible? Sure, I guess. But to me it just makes no sense.
“Hey, he’s a rookie, let’s throw him out there without a run game”. What the hell is that? Why? For what? Set him up for failure completely on purpose? Destroy him on purpose?
I just can’t buy into that. Yeah they want to evaluate him and yeah they wanted to see how he played, that’s obvious by the amount of starts he was given. I’m fine with that, that thought process makes total sense, but to handicap him on purpose for some sort of evaluation purposes? That’s incredibly counterproductive and makes zero sense.
I think you’re riding the Kessler train just way, way too far. You know he doesn’t have the arm to make every NFL throw dude. You know this. You’ve destroyed better QB’s with better arms on this team over the years for being so. You’re just trying to come up with off-the-wall crazy conspiracies now that somehow validate your narrative that Kessler is awesome but no one knows it because he was getting screwed and we can’t see how great he really is because of it.
It’s a weak argument. It’s the same as TheDude and his insane “Haslam bought the Browns on the cheap” argument. It’s bullshit and totally nonsensical. I get why he’s upset, we suck, this is horrible, no one is enjoying this at all and the ship is crashing into the rocks. I get it. I really really do. But that doesn’t mean you can start making shit up just to bitch about. “Oh, oh oh the owner is cheap that’s it!!!”
That’s not how it works. Now you sound like him. “Oh, oh oh they weren’t running the ball to test him!”.
No, they weren’t. He’s just not that good. No, Haslam is not cheap, he’s just an idiot. Kessler not being that good I’ll discuss. Haslam being an idiot I’ll discuss. Haslam being cheap or Kessler getting set up for failure on purpose, I won’t. Because they’re stupid arguments.
We have so many other things about this team we could be discussing, debating, and going over.
Stop.

soupParticipantYou missed my point. I’m not saying they are throwing him under any bus. I’m saying they MAYBE did it to see as much as possible on him. It’s not a negative against them. It’s a way to see as many throws as possible. For them to decide if they want to utilize a high pick on a QB. Nothing more.
No way anyone succeeds without us fixing this terrible oline
