ParticipantConfirmed by NFL source.
EDIT: Not my NFL source. I don’t have one. Was on my phone when I saw it.

ParticipantYour buddy Schefter says that meeting isn’t going to be until tomorrow. And that we “may trade the rights” to him.
Which would be stupid.

ModeratorBeat me to it.
Also hearing reports that the Browns will be looking to trade him if he’s reinstated. Which, like DPD said, would be fucking asinine. We have no one, and I mean no one at WR. If he’s cleared to play, I don’t care how long he’s been out, Josh Gordon at 35% is better than anything we have right now. He instantly becomes the best receiver on the team and it’s not even close.
If they trade him I’ll lose my shit.

ParticipantJosh Gordon will meet with NFL officials to discuss his reinstatement Tuesday in New York.
Gordon is hoping to be reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell following his latest rehab stint. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is also hearing that the Browns could look to trade his rights ahead of Tuesday’s 4 PM ET trade deadline. Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards at age 22 but has had his career derailed by repeated substance abuse issues. He hasn’t played an NFL down since 2014.Per rotoworld

ParticipantWell, not to deflate any hope (ha…ha ha…HAHAHAHAHAHA) but even if he does get reinstated, there’s a good chance he still faces suspension.
But yes, a triple-covered Gordon is 12 times better than anything we have.

ModeratorWell here’s the thing I doubt that the Browns get clarification on Gordon’s reinstatement, and get a deal worked out to trade him, all in the next 39 minutes.
So with that being said, if he is indeed reinstated, he’s going to be our for at least the remainder of the year and we can evaluate him over the final 8 games.

Keymaster1 win in our last 24 games… I’m still not desperate enough to give 2 shits about Josh Gordon. Trade his rights for a 7th or a decent kicker.

Perhaps a re-reading of the stats of our Wide Receivers this year will bring you the remaining parts of desperation that you need.

ParticipantGenerally I would agree with shooter on this…. But nothing convinces me he can make our roster or even stay clean. If someone will trade, you have to do it.
Hue Jackson is a loser.

But then I re-read Gordon’s stats in the last 3 years and I’m pretty happy with what I said. If someone’s dumb enough to trade for him we should look at whatever they offer as an amazing gift and not think twice about it.

ParticipantHe’s cheap. We have cap room, you keep him. No trades.
