The only saving grace with Erving is that they new Mack was going to leave or even if they thought he might not recover. I am not so angry at this pick if this is truly the case. The rest of the draft though besides the 2 players you named has been really bad.

Justin Gilbert in m opinion is the worst pick this franchise has had. How extremely disappointing he can only return kicks. Really garbage.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Well, Orchard kinda showed up chasing down Flacco on the 3rd down play that caused the Rats to tie the game at 30. But from what I’ve seen, Farmer hasn’t got the eye for talent everyone hoped.

That said, everyone was saying how Gilbert was the top CB to come out of the draft last season…nobody could have foreseen the disaster he was by drafting him. He was top notch in his college days. But then, it’s up to Farmer to make sure we don’t end up with players exactly like this so…

Trying to judge a draft 5 weeks into it is useless. Players can have great rookie seasons and never do a thing again. That would make that player a bust. A player could have a bad rookie year and go on to a HOF career.

While your overall thought is correct, the fact Erving isn’t playing is a very bad sign. Why? Because OL/DL are the easiest NFL transitions to make.
