IMO, and I’m not saying this is the right move, but regardless of BPA, the Browns first pick WILL be a QB, for a number of reasons.

But, the basic reason is PR. The fan base is exhausted. There’s very little enthusiasm surrounding the Browns and it’ll be impossible to get any hype going without picking a QB at 1.

NFL fans know a franchise QB can turn around a struggling QB, and the Browns haven’t had one since…Kosar??? We haven’t picked one higher than 22 since Couch.

Again, I’m not necessarily saying it’s the right move. But it IS going to happen. I’ve made peace with that, and I’m just hoping Sashi and Hue are able to pick out a good one. After Kesslar, I have high hopes that they’ll do just fine as long as Haslam doesn’t run into any bums during draft week.
