Per TMZ:
One player who admits he’s extremely frustrated with the QB situation says, “I love both Johnny and Josh but its f**ked up when you have Johnny come in and play well and has proven to the team that he is the right person for the job.”
“It’s frustrating to him and us when you sit a player down when he is playing well. Coach has got to understand you are messing up the chemistry and timing with players and its f**ked up.”
Another player tells us, “The team plays better when [Manziel] is in the game. I play better when he plays.”
“You can’t get better unless you play. We won when he played and coach has got to trust him like he trusts Josh.”
A 3rd player added, “When Johnny in the game it puts the defense on edge. He doesn’t just sit in the pocket, he makes plays. Coach has got to make the change now.”September 29, 2015 at 6:47 pm #2224IceKeymasterTMZ alleges all 3 are offensive starters. Using some awesome detective work I have narrowed it down to 10 players; I don’t think McCown would have said those quotes about himself. Also strike Andrew Hawkins off the list. He calls the story “1000% false”.
My first thought is that if the front office finds out who these 3 players are they will be in deep doo doo and they should be. They’ve broken the biggest rule of the NFL and criticized their team outside the lockerroom. Not just that, they’re trying to use their voices anonymously to put pressure on the coaching staff to make a personnel change. It is one thing to privately tell other guys on the team that you want a change, or to go to the coaching staff and ask for a change. It’s completely another thing to throw your starting QB and your coaches under the bus to the press.

September 30, 2015 at 1:26 pm #2234BrownsFan4LifeParticipantA few of the Browns players have said this report is 1000 percent made up. At any rate, I do not think that Manziel deserves to start until he learns how to hold on to the football. He has fumbled 4 times in 2 games. He has shown progress and at least looks like he can play unlike last year when he looked like a bigger bust than Brady Quinn.
September 30, 2015 at 8:49 pm #2238IceKeymasterAll 5 starting offensive linemen have echoed the sentiments of Hawkins, and Joe Thomas thinks the quotes were fabricated because players don’t talk the way the quotes came out. So if we eliminate the O-line, Hawkins, and McCown we’re left with 4 starters, 3 of whom allegedly made the quotes. Those 4 players are:
Travis Benjamin
Gary Barnidge
Brian Hartline
Isaiah CrowellWho dunnit?
October 1, 2015 at 8:20 am #2245BrownsFan4LifeParticipantI read where the wide receivers mentioned it in their meeting and agreed no one in there said it. If anyone had, I would have thought that Travis Benjamin would be the one since he was catching 50 yard TD passes from Johnny.

Freedom!!!
October 2, 2015 at 10:12 am #2275BrownsFan4LifeParticipantSince they can’t have contact I will say BULL. lol
October 2, 2015 at 3:03 pm #2276the dudeParticipantIs no one else disturbed that Ice is on TMZ?
I am sure none of the player would speak up anyways and it could have been said jokingly or in passing by some hack at TMZ or sold the quotes to TMZ.
The truth is, the Browns should listen to TMZ.
