Sash better be fired in the next hour. Trade voided because he forgot to notify the NFL. What a worthless asshat.

I’m keeping an eye on this…fucking story is all over the place. I guess the Browns are complaining that they DID call in time, that it was on the NFL to push it through. They didn’t. Trade might still get validated.

Still, you’d think this would have been done, at the least, earlier today. Something tells me that there was a staredown and somebody blinked. No matter how it goes, I’d like to know who it was.

Edit: Nope, according to Mary Kay, too little, too late.

    Fucking Browns.

AJ Mcarron now has to walk around like he’s in a Final Destination movie.

Shit, he just dodged more bullets than a Matrix movie. He shall now be known as The Two.

Wait, he already was known…ah fuck it.

The more I think about this the angrier I am. There’s no reason they should still be employed. They should’ve been fired at 4:05pm. Unforgivable.

Ok, I’m not fucking trying to upload a screenshot on this site, and I ain’t fucking with Photobucket tonight either.

But…now it’s being reported that it was actually the Bengals fuck-up. Copy and paste stuff to follow.

League source: #Browns sent signed trade document to #Bengals, who then sent wrong document to the league. Therefore deadline missed.

    And then Mary Kay again…

Try again: #Browns sent signed doc to #Bengals to sign and send to league, but #Bengals sent doc to #NFL only signed by them

    What a fucking circus.

And to continue to pile on……………the deal was for a 2nd AND a 3rd for McCarron.

A far higher price than what the 49ers gave up for Jimmy G.

I have to be honest, I’m glad that their own ineptitude stopped them from from completing this idiotic deal. My God.

Yeah, it’s not like he’s gonna come in and save the season. If the price was really that high (and who fucking knows at this point), that would be a hell of a price. That said, maybe it was more of an attempt by the front office to show unity with Hue, finally giving him a QB he wanted.

Still, according to Grossi, they were celebrating the deal when they found out that it fell through. Seriously, one of the most Browns moments ever.

Not a high price. It’s an in division trade price. He knows Hues system. He’s had success in it. He have instantly been the best on the roster and the best we had in years. He’ll, if it wasn’t for a Jeremy Hill fumble and an unprecedented 30 yards in penalties on their D in one play, h beat th Steelers in a playoff game.

I mean, does it really matter at this point?

You might be right Soup, and maybe he would have become the best QB on the roster. But let’s face it- the season is toast. As it stands now, we might get by with, at most, 2 wins. AJ may have doubled that total.

    Then what?

I can see the players looking at this situation now. Taking in what Hue has been preaching about Kizer being given every chance to become a franchise QB, only to bench him on two separate occasions, and THEN changing up the game plan to take advantage of the strengths and weaknesses of this offense (we actually looked somewhat competitive in London)…how does it look to these guys when you’re saying that you’re willing to take whatever ups and downs Kizer offers, and then bench him twice?

And to ice the cake, we were willing to trade within the division for another QB? And THEN we fuck up that trade so epically that not only are we the laughing stock of the NFL, but little league cricket players in Australia can only shake their head and laugh when the Browns are mentioned.

These guys were supposed to “change the culture” here, and I guess they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

I’d take the worst Mike Pettine, Pat Shurmer, and Eric Mangini and their regimes had to offer over the best that this current one has up to this point. This is a whole new realm of bad.

First, Hue can only coach what he’s given. He’s not going to undermine his QB saying, “he sucks and I never believed in him.” Instead, when the FO hates him like they do. He’s going to play the hell out of him proving to the owner the GM is a moron.

On the flip side, a friend at work brought up a good point. Front office may have done it on purpose to him and not turn in the paperwork so the deal couldn’t happen. Just to spite Hue because to save their jobs he’s going to be fired as the scapegoat.

Sashi the Dope and company assumed the Bengals would send the Browns paperwork in. Sashi is so lazy he had an assistant email the Bengals…
