KeymasterBrowns Dominate 49ers
In a performance that can best be described as unexpected, the Browns controlled the 49ers throughout the entire game. Offensively we saw the team run as they had promised so many times before. Crowell and Johnson combined for 223 yards on the ground. Crowell contributed 145 of those yards on just 20 carries for over 7 yards per carry. The passing game was also efficient. Manziel completed 66% of his passes for 270 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Brian Hartline led the team with 108 tough receiving yards but unfortunately is lost for the rest of the season with a broken collar bone that will require surgery.
Defensively our team played inspired football. Armonty Bryant had a fantastic game with 2 sacks and 7 tackles. Also contributing a pair of sacks was rookie Nate Orchard. Overall the Browns sacked poor Blaine Gabbert 9 times and held him to under 200 yards passing. Former Brown Shaun Daughn was held to just 43 yards on 11 carries.
If you only watch one Browns game this year, this is the one to watch. If you only watch two games this year, watch this one twice. We may not see a performance like this one for a long time.

ParticipantThis is what’s supposed to happen when you play an inferior opponent. Don’t get too excited about Johnny’s performance. His two wins as a starter are against the Tennessee Titans – who currently hold the first overall pick – and San Francisco. The 49ers are almost a worse train wreck than the Browns. This is a team that benched the QB who started a Super Bowl for a 2011 first round Draft bust. Also remember that this is an organization that thought Jim Tomsula was a better option than Jim Harbaugh as the head coach. Injuries and premature retirements have not helped any either.
Does anyone with half a brain think that the Browns have a chance against any of the three remaining opponents? Before you answer that, let me remind you that those opponents are . . . at Seattle, at Kansas City and hosting Pittsburgh. Good luck making a compelling argument for the Browns winning any of the three.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

KeymasterWhen you’re the Browns, there is no such thing as an inferior opponent. We are the inferior opponent. Some how the 49ers played down below our level and made us look like an NFL team.

ModeratorIce wins, because that was pure unfettered truth.

I don’t really know if people with half a brain think much of anything really, aside from maybe how to get the spoon to their lip. Not to mention I don’t know any so it’s kind of hard for me to ask.

It’s possible.
Highly unlikely, but possible.
I think the thing that stands out most is the fact that, even if we lose the games, Johnny can still play very well and stake a claim at being the QB of this team going forward.
I’m going to mark that down in the unlikely column, but it is technically possible. Personally I’ll be rooting for him to do it and prove myself and many others wrong.
