The NFL has officially announced that the Cleveland Browns have been fined $250,000 and GM Ray Farmer has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season without pay for the event that’s being called “Text Gate”. There will be no loss of draft picks for the Browns.
In other league news, the Atlanta Falcons have been fined $350,000 and will forfeit their 2016 fifth round draft pick for pumping in additional crowd noise during home games.
Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

As a Browns fan I am happy and feel like this was lucky.
As an NFL fan, this is a very serious violation and we should have been punished more. Basically, the punishment was nothing. But you know that there was more to this story. The guy he texted literally asked out of his contract. A son of a Super Bowl Head Coach.
There’s something strange in the neighborhood.
Hue Jackson is a loser.
April 2, 2015 at 9:26 am #932IceKeymasterI think the last thing the NFL wants to do is take draft picks away from a club that has been in dire straights for 2 decades. I’m not sure what effect suspending Farmer for the 1st 4 games of the season will have on the team… by that time the team is already formed, though that is a good time to snipe players off of other team’s practice squads.
