Browns lose as only the Browns can.
This is a tough game to even think about. For once the quarterback isn’t the biggest problem. When our team scores 27 points, we should win. The defense let us down. San Diego’s offensive line was down 3 starters so it would have been a great game to tee off on a quarterback. Results: 2 sacks, no forced turnovers, 30 points allowed. Haden’s injury was a game-time decision but injuries happen and the next guy has to stand up. That was the worst offensive line we’ll face all year, it’s not gonna get any easier.
Where did all the penalties come from? The stats sheet says 12 penalties for 91 yards, but the stats don’t say how many drives were extended by those penalties and the stats certainly don’t show that one penalty was the difference between overtime and a loss.
This is a tough week to be a Browns fan.
