If you stopped watching after the 1st quarter of this game, you likely left believing that the Jets were no match for the Browns. Unfortunately there were three more quarters to play. McCown looked very efficient, even downright good before he got a concussion bravely diving at the goal line. That’s when the game started falling apart for the Browns. Five more fumbles would give an easy win to the Jets 31-10. The Jets were able to capitalize scoring 24 points on those turnovers.
The Good:
McCown was playing very well before he was injured.
Manziel’s decision making looks better than last year.
Pass protection was strong until the game started getting out of hand.
Travis Benjamin looks much improved. 3 catches for 89 yards and a TD
Andy Lee averaged 54 yards per punt.
Coons made an NFL record 48 yard extra point. The Bad:
The 2nd – 4th quartersThe Ugly:
Our Leading rusher was Johnny Manziel with 35 yards. Our second leading rusher was Josh McCown with 23 yards. Crowell and Johnson combined for 42 yards with 19 runs.
Run defense was abysmal. The Jets RBs combined for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The defense had zero sacks, and only one turnover which lasted less than a second as Brandon Marshall just took the ball back from Gipson.September 13, 2015 at 5:25 pm #1988sydParticipantyou didnt mention the penalties
September 13, 2015 at 8:17 pm #1990BrownsFan4LifeParticipantThe game didn’t start falling apart when McCown got hurt since we scored a TD on our next drive to take a 10-7 lead. It fell apart after that. LOL. Yeah I have to laugh so I don’t cry.

Syd nailed it here – this was a classic Browns opener. No one can get the snap count right. This is high school football. Goddamn listen to the count. I cannot believe we cannot snap a ball.
Not to mention the other ridiculous amount of holding penalties and other stupid mistakes. The Refs called a fair game – this team was very very sloppy.
No run game – a joke – absolute joke. No run game is what bad teams have. We are bad. Really bad. We better hope we win one of the next two or we may not win a game this season. I am serious. We can stop a shitty running back. Wait until the good ones come to town.

Guys, the Jets are really bad. This is really not a good thing what we saw on Sunday. We better hope we can beat Oakland. Otherwise our next opportunity may be San Francisco
