The Browns have come to terms with free agent WR Brian Hartline. The Canton native brings with him 6 years of NFL experience, and over 2500 yards of production in the last three seasons. Hartline joins a hard-working group of Browns receivers including Andrew Hawkins, Taylor Gabriel, and Travis Benjamin.

Hartline is a solid receiver who works hard after the catch, but even with this signing the Browns are still in the market to add a number one receiving threat. Hartline’s presence will help fill the gap left by Jordan Cameron’s imminent departure but we can still look forward to the Browns drafting more receiving help.

I see Hartline as a solid signing as a legitimate #2 receiver that can move the chains – particularly on third down. The Browns are still lacking a legitimate #1. Now that Andre Johnson is available; do the Browns make a play for him, draft one in the first round or possibly both?

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

I am sure it will be an ok pickup. Although, if I saw what the clownies had at qb, I would say that may be where careers go to end.

    Hue Jackson is a loser.

Rumors abound that the Browns have been trying to trade for a top WR but to this point have failed. I imagine the team has realized how important that position actually is. Hartline is a good receiver but not a #1. He doesn’t demand a double team. Still, he is a good get and we now have good depth at the position, just need a guy at the top of the pyramid.
