    Browns sign WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi

The Cleveland Browns have signed WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi.

Sheehy-Guiseppi is a rookie out of Phoenix College and measures 5-11, 181 pounds. His collegiate career consisted of a first team NJCAA All-American honor in 2016, leading the nation in kick return yardage (1,278) and kick return touchdowns (four). He also ranked second in the NJCAA in yards per kick return (32.8) and in punt return yards (400).

A native of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the signing marks Sheehy’s first NFL stop.

Seems like the 5th or 6th WR will be specialist depending on how many they carry. I am good with that as a good return man can lead to scores by special teams and short fields for the offense.

Hasn’t been much news lately. I don’t think this guy makes a gameday roster.

I kind of agree as he looks like a long shot. But who does he have to beat out to be the return man?

I mean are they gonna put OBJ, Jarvis or callaway back there?
    Probably not IMO.

So that leaves Duke “if” he is on the team…or am I missing someone….

I’ve been thinking about KR, and I think that’s where Calloway needs to make his mark. Hilliard is the other guy on the roster who also has a chance. If we hold onto Duke into the season that’s the only way Hilliard makes the roster.

Rather a specialist as a return guy than an offensive or defensive starter. That way you not out a starter on O or D if your return man gets destroyed on a kick or punt return.

After reading this kids story you all will be rooting for him. I know I will be.

Dorsey brought this guy in for a reason. Stay tuned.

Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic landmass!

Neither Callaway nor Hilliard are starters so we’re ok there.

But yes I agree… Dorsey grabbed this guy for a reason and it is a great story. He’s a guy I’ll root for.

Define who is the 11th starter on O. The 3rd WR, 2nd TE or the H-back?

IMO Calloway is a starter as between those 3 position he will see the most snaps.

In Kitchens’ offense the 11th starter could even be the 3rd rb.

Yeah we’ll probably be running 11 personnel a lot more often, but you think Calloway will get the nod over Higgins?

Oh yeah. That speed at the 3rd WR spot will help spread defenses every which way and make holes in them bigger IMO.
